Abstract

The development of technology is growing rapidly. The biggest challenge for the industry is to make a product effectively and efficiently. Augmented Reality provides a significant benefit to transfer knowledge faster than the traditional methods. Companies must also pay attention to the security, health and safety of workers. Usually, many workers do not care or pay less attention to existing procedures in the company. This matter is indicated by the number of work accidents that occur every year. OHS at PT PAL using Augmented Reality aims to make it easier for shipyard workers to understand the uses and potential risk and hazards of working tools and areas in the shipyard with an explanation of the OHS symbol and information related to safety. There are 3D objects of machine and area in the Fabrication Workshop PT PAL that created in Blender Software which are then entered into Unity Software for Augmented Reality creation. With the convenience obtained from Augmented Reality which can be accessed via electronic media such as smartphones and tablets, it is hoped that it can deepen the shipyard crew's knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and reduce the occurrence of accidents in the PT PAL work field. The result of this final project is an android application of Augmented Reality that uses the Marker-Based Tracking method for reading, which means that this application requires additional media in the form of markers to be detected by smartphones and 3D visualization will appear in the form of augmented reality. The result of this study is called the OHSAR application which stands for Occupational Health and Safety with Augmented Reality. The questionnaire is used to assess the feedback from users of the AR application with specified parameters regarding the performance and usability of the application. Based on the results of the questionnaire with a total score of 861, it can be concluded that this application is categorized as excellent performance. So, this application is ready to be implemented to a wider audience and users.
