Abstract

The lateness in handling someone with stroke is one of the causes the high rate of mortality and disability. The lateness in handling someone who has stroke symptoms can be due to the absence of an emergency system for someone with stroke. In order to increase the quick access for people with stroke, this final project created an Android-based application to develop the system from the previous study, the Stroke Emergency Management System (STREMSYS). This system is made with the main feature of Emergency Button as the "emergency button" if the sudden stroke occurs, which will be connected to the 112 call center and authomatic texts to the family members. Furthermore, there is also the feature of stroke symptoms identification, which is to anticipate stroke by recognizing some major symptoms of a stroke. When someone is suspected of having a stroke, the system will recommend the nearest hospital and show the fastest route to the hospital. This is created for handling the lateness in delivering stroke patients to the hospital, which is more than the golden-time of 2 hours. From the test results, the test of Siaga Stroke application interface to 120 respondents is obtained the overall results: Disagree of 0.06%, Agree a little of 0.38%, Sufficient of 6.93%, Agree of 50.46%, Strongly Agree of 39.46%. From the results, it showed that 2 respondents were Agree a little with the SiSter application, and 118 other respondents were sufficiently agree with the SiSter application. Moreover, the results of the medical personnel responses were 66.7% of them said "yes," 33.3% of them said "maybe," and 0% of them said "no", which thought that the SiSter application would help the efficiency of fewer than 2 hours in the patient delivery to the hospital.
