Abstract

Setiap tahun, sekitar 60% dari angkatan kerja yang muncul tidak terserap sebagai pekerja dalam negeri. Kebanyakan orang dari angkatan tersebut pun mulai bekerja sebagai wirausaha, pemilik UMKM, maupun freelancer di mana mayoritas usaha dan UMKM yang didirikan berfokus pada makanan dan minuman (F&B). Namun tidak semua pelaku usaha dibekali pendidikan formal dan keterampilan yang berdaya saing. Pelaku usaha perlu meningkatkan kemampuan dan inovasi agar usahanya mampu bersaing pada pasar digital, salah satunya melalui food photography. Simpul Talenta – Talent Hub, sebagai platform penyedia program pelatihan, menyambut kebutuhan pasar dengan mengadakan pelatihan “Food Styling & Photography” di Padang, Sumatera Barat yang merupakan salah satu kota dengan kemajuan pesat pada industri F&B. Dalam melakukan pelatihan, pengukuran efektivitas program diperlukan untuk mengukur seberapa besar dampak positif dari pelatihan yang diberikan pada industri F&B dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program pelatihan “Food Styling & Photography” dan dampaknya pada alumni peserta menggunakan model evaluasi Kirkpatrick Four Levels dari segi pengetahuan, keterampilan, perilaku, dan kinerja, serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang berorientasi pelanggan. Data yang didapatkan berasal dari kuesioner feedback, pre-test dan post-test, tugas praktik melalui studi dokumen, serta wawancara dengan 15 alumni. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif, uji t-paired antara post-test dan pre-test, serta analisis hasil wawancara tingkat individu dan kelompok. Temuan penelitian adalah setiap level evaluasi menunjukkan (i) kepuasan terhadap pemateri memengaruhi motivasi dan persepsi peserta terhadap pelatihan, (ii) peningkatan pengetahuan pada peserta pelatihan teridentifikasi secara signifikan, (iii) peningkatan keterampilan, motivasi, dan kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil karya, cara berpikir lebih sistematis, serta cara kerja yang lebih detail pada peserta alumni pelatihan, (iv) peningkatan nilai jual, peningkatan engagement, dan peningkatan pendapatan pada alumni peserta pelatihan. Rekomendasi perbaikan terdiri dari 4 aspek, yaitu pemateri, materi, teknis pelaksanaan, dan skema kelas tatap muka.

Every year, about 60% of the emerging workforce is not absorbed as domestic workers. Most people from this generation started working as entrepreneurs, MSME owners, and freelancers where the majority of businesses and MSMEs that were established focused on food and beverage (F&B). However, not all business actors are equipped with the necessary skills. Business actors need to improve their capabilities so that their businesses can compete in the digital market, one of which is through product photography. Simpul Talenta – Talent Hub, as a platform for providing training programs, address this problem by holding a “Food Styling & Photography” training in Padang, West Sumatra, which is one of the cities with rapid growth in F&B industry. In conducting the training, it is also necessary to measure the effectiveness of the program in order to improve the welfare of the local community especially in F&B industry. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the “Food Styling & Photography” training program and its impact on alumni participants using the Kirkpatrick Four Levels evaluation model in terms of knowledge, skills, behavior, and performance, as well as providing customer-oriented improvement recommendations. The data obtained came from feedback questionnaires, pre-test and post-test, practical assignments through document studies, as well as interviews with 15 program’s alumni. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired t-test between post-test and pre-test, and analysis of the results of individual and group interviews. This research finds that on each level of evaluation (i) satisfaction with the presenter affects the motivation and perception of participants towards the training, (ii) the increase in knowledge of the training participants, (iii) the participant has improved in skills, motivation, and have more systematic way of thinking, (iv) the program graduates have increased their sales value, and engagement. Recommendations for improvement consist of 4 aspects, namely presenters, materials, technical implementation, and face-to-face class schemes.
