Abstract

Enkapsulasi merupakan proses penyalutan bahan inti oleh bahan penyalut khusus yang memiliki kemampuan melindungi zat inti dari faktor-faktor penyebab kerusakan. Berdasarkan kelebihan tersebut maka dilakukanlah penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tanaman kunyit Curcuma longa L. dengan adanya aplikasi kapsul CMA yang menggunakan bahan penyalut yang berbeda dan mengetahui persen infeksi kapsul CMA yang menggunakan bahan penyalut yang berbeda yang diaplikasikan pada tanaman Curcuma longa L. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengaplikasian kapsul CMA dengan berbagai bahan penyalut yaitu Na-alginat, Na-alginat dan “Nutrijell” serta Na-alginat dan Agar “Agarpac” yang diaplikasikan pada tanaman kunyit. Kemudian, dilakukan uji efektivitas dan infektivitas berbagai konsentrasi bahan penyalut kapsul CMA yang diaplikasikan pada tanaman kunyit. Pemanenan tanaman pada fase vegetatif. Parameter yang diukur adalah pertumbuhan morfologi tanaman meliputi tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, jumlah daun, luas daun dan rasio akar:tajuk. Kemudian, dilakukan pengamatan persen infeksi mikoriza. Data pertumbuhan morfologi dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik SPSS. Hasil akhir penelitian didapatkan bahwa pemberian kapsul CMA mampu memberikan pengaruh terhadap parameter luas daun dan persen infeksi akar yang berkategori sangat tinggi. ===================================================================================================== Encapsulation is the process of coating the core material by a special coating material that has the ability to protect the core substance from factors that cause damage. Based on these advantages, this study was conducted which aims to determine the growth of the turmeric plant Curcuma longa L. with the application of CMA capsules using different coating materials and to determine the percent infection of CMA capsules using different coating materials applied to the Curcuma longa L plant. In this study, the application of CMA capsules with various coating materials, namely Na-alginate, Na-alginate and "Nutrijell" as well as Na-alginate and Agar "Agarpac" were applied to turmeric plants. Then, tested the effectiveness and infectivity of various concentrations of CMA capsule coating materials applied to turmeric plants. Harvesting plants in vegetative phase. Parameters measured were plant morphological growth including plant height, root length, number of leaves, leaf area and root: canopy ratio. Percent of mycorrhizal infections were observed. Morphological growth data analyzed using the SPSS test. Final result found that CMA capsules was able to influence the parameters of leaf area and percent root infection which were categorized as very high.
