Abstract

Keben merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang memiliki kandungan senyawa bioaktif sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bioinsektisida. Senyawa bioaktif yang terdapat dalam daun keben antara lain triterpenoid, alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, dan tanin yang dapat memberi efek toksik terhadap larva Spodoptera litura F. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas bioinsektisida ekstrak daun Keben terhadap serangan larva Spodoptera litura pada tanaman pakcoy.
Pada uji pendahuluan digunakan metode celup daun pada ekstrak dengan konsentrasi 10%-90% dan pada uji lanjutan digunakan metode oles daun menggunakan formulasi bioinsektisida bentuk cair. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun keben memberikan pengaruh terhadap mortalitas larva Spodoptera litura dan produktivitas tanaman pakcoy. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak, semakin tinggi jumlah mortalitas larva dan produktivitas pakcoy meningkat. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun keben yang efektif terhadap mortalitas larva dan produktivitas pakcoy adalah konsentrasi 45%.

Keben is one of the plants that contains bioactive compounds which can be used as bioinsecticide. Bioactive compounds contained in keben leaves include triterpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins which can have a toxic effect on the larvae of Spodoptera litura F. This study aims to determine bioinsecticide effectiveness of Keben leaf extract against Spodoptera litura F. larvae attack on pakcoy plants.
In the preliminary test, the leaf-dipping method used in the extract with a concentration of 10% -90% and in the followup test, the leaf basting method was used using liquid bioinsecticide. The results showed that keben leaf extract provided protection against Spodoptera litura mortality larvae and the productivity of pakcoy plants. The higher the concentration of the extract, the higher the number of mortality larvae and the productivity of pakcoy increased. The concentration of keben leaf extract which was effective on larval mortality and pakcoy productivity is a concentration of 45%.
