Abstract

Perkembangan industri di Indonesia dewasa ini cukup pesat. Sehubungan dengan hal itu, perguruan tinggi sebagai tempat yang menghasilkan sumber daya manusia berkualitas, berkepribadian mandiri, dan memiliki kemampuan intelektual yang baik, merasa terpanggil untuk semakin meningkatkan mutu output-nya Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya sebagai sebuah institusi (perguruan tinggi) di Indonesia berupaya untuk mengembangkan sumber daya manusia dan IPTEK guna menunjang pembangunan industri, serta sebagai research university untuk membantu pengembangan kawasan timur Indonesia. Output dari ITS Surabaya diharapkan siap untuk dikembangkan ke bidang yang sesuai dengan spesifikasinya. Sejalan dengan upaya tersebut, kerjasama dengan industri perlu untuk ditingkatkan, yang dalam hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan jalan Study Ekskursi, Kerja Praktek, Magang, Joint Research, dan lain sebagainya Pada Magang inustri yang telah dilakukan pada tiga perusahaan yaitu PT. Torishima Guna Indonesia, PPSDM MIGAS Cepu, dan PT. Pertamina (Persero) Refinery Unit VI Balongan sebagai mahasiswa mendapatkan ilmu yang sangat bermanfaat untuk menuju jenjang berikutnya khususnya pengetahuan pada bidang teknik mesin dan mahasiswa bisa menerapkan pengetahuan teknik mesin pada magang industri ini. ======================================================================================================= Indonesia's industrial development is currently fairly rapid. Universities, being locations that develop high-quality human resources with independent personalities and strong intellectual abilities, are under pressure to increase the quality of their outputs in this regard. As an institution (college) in Indonesia, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya aims to develop human resources, science, and technology to promote industrial development, as well as a research university to aid the development of eastern Indonesia. ITS Surabaya's output is projected to be ready for development into fields in accordance with its standards.In support of these initiatives, increased collaboration with industry is needed, which can be accomplished through Study Excursions, Practical Work, Internships, Joint Research, and other methods. Industrial internships at three companies, namely PT. Torishima Guna Indonesia, PPSDM MIGAS Cepu, and PT. Pertamina (Persero) Refinery Unit VI Balongan, have provided students with very useful knowledge to advance to the next level, particularly knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, which students can apply in this industrial internship.
