Abstract

PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) sebagai salah satu industri strategis yang memproduksi alat utama sistem pertahanan Indonesia khususnya untuk matra laut, keberadaannya tentu memiliki peran penting dan strategis dalam mendukung pengembangan industri kelautan nasional Saat ini kemampuan dan kualitas rancang bangun dari PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) telah diakui pasar internasional. Sebagai perusahaan galangan kapal dengan pengalaman lebih dari tiga dasawarsa, PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) bersama karyawan sejumlah 1.300 personil, telah menguasai pembangunan beragam produk-produk berkualitas sebagai berikut : Produk Kapal Niaga, Produk Kapal Perang, Kapal Selam, Produk Jasa Harkan,dan Rekayasa Umum Shell and tube heat exchanger merupakan salah satu jenis penukar panas yang banyak digunakan dalam proses industry. Alat ini terdiri dari sebuah tabung (shell) dimana didalamnya terdapat suatu berkas (bandle) pipa dengan diameter yang relative kecil. Heat exchanger jenis ini biasa digunakan pada proses industry yang memiliki proses dengan jumlah fluida yang dipanaskan atau didinginkan dalam jumlah besar. Desain alat ini dapat memberikan luas area penampang atau area penukar panas yang besar dan memberikan nilai efisiensi perpindahan panas yang besar.Dalam shell and tube heat exchanger terdapat beberapa jumlah tube dalam susunan parallel atau seri dimana salah satu fluida mengalir didalam tube, sedangkan fluida lainnya mengalir diluar tube. Untuk meningkatkan nilai efisiensi pertukaran panas, biasanya pada penukar panas shell and tube dipasang sekat (buffel). Ini bertujuan untuk membuat turbulensi aliran fluida dan menamabah waktu tinggal fluida (residence time), namun pemasangan sekat akan memperbesar pressure drop operasi dan menyebabkan beban kerja pompa bertambah berat, sehingga laju aliran fluida diatur sedemikian rupa. ======================================================================================================= PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) together with 1,300 employees, have mastered the development of various quality products as follows: Commercial Ship Products, Warship Products, Submarines, Harkan Service Products, and General Engineering Shell and tube heat exchanger is one type of heat exchanger that is widely used in industrial processes. This tool consists of a tube (shell) in which there is a tube (bandle) pipe with a relatively small diameter. This type of heat exchanger is commonly used in industrial processes that have processes in which large amounts of fluid are heated or cooled. The design of this tool can provide a large cross-sectional area or heat exchanger area and provide a large heat transfer efficiency value. In a shell and tube heat exchanger there are several tubes in parallel or series arrangement where one fluid flows in the tube, while the other fluid flows. outside the tube. To increase the value of heat exchange efficiency, usually a shell and tube heat exchanger is installed with a buffer (buffel). This aims to create fluid flow turbulence and increase the residence time of the fluid (residence time), but the installation of the bulkhead will increase the operating pressure drop and cause the pump workload to increase, so that the fluid flow rate is regulated in such a way.
