Abstract

Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Suwung berlokasi di Desa Pedungan Kecamatan Denpasar selatan yang merupakan tempat pembuangan akhir sampah yang berasal dari Kota Denpasar dan Kabupaten Badung. Berdasarkan hasil sampling yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa parameter BOD, COD, Kadmium (Cd), dan Timbal (Pb) pada air tanah disekitar TPA Suwung Denpasar melebihi baku mutu, yaitu 12 mg/L, 41,7 mg/L, 0,054 mg/L, dan 0,22 mg/L. Teknologi remediasi yang pernah dipakai untuk air tanah tercemar fitoteknologi, fitoteknoloogi dapat meremediasi polutan akan tetapi memerlukan waktu yang lama dan biaya yang cukup banyak. Maka dari itu teknologi membran filter salah satu teknologi alternatif untuk remediasi pencemar air tanah di TPA Suwung Denpasar. Teknologi membran filter memiliki kelebihan yaitu tidak memerlukan energi cukup banyak, pengoperasian mudah dan tidak memerlukan biaya yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil perencanaan ditentukan unit pengolahan air tanah yang digunakan adalah ion exchange resin kation dan dilanjutkan dengan membran filter osmosa terbalik (Reverse osmosis). Effluent yang didapatkan setelah melalui pengolahan di unit ion exchange dan reverse osmosis untuk parameter TDS, COD, BOD, Pb, dan Cd secara berturut-turut adalah: 48,3 mg/L, 14,8 mg/L, 4,7 mg/L, 0,0009 mg/L dan 0,00025 mg/L. Dalam perencanaan ini disusun Standard Operating Procedure untuk perawatan dan operasional agar unit pengolahan air bersih dapat berfungsi secara optimal dan dapat digunakan sesuai dengan umur perencanaan bangunan. ================================================================================================ Suwung Landfill, located in Pedungan village, South Denpasar, receive solid waste from Denpasar and Badung regency. Based on sampling result found that some parameters (BOD, COD, Cadmium (Cd), and Lead (Pb)) in ground water are exceeding the quality standard. The result stated that the consentration of BOD, COD, cadmium and lead are 12 mg/L, 41,7 mg/L, 0,054 mg/L, dan 0,22 mg/L consecutively. Remediation technology used for treating ground water in area around Suwung Landfill was phytoremediation. However, eventhough phytoremediation can treat ground water well but it needs a relatively long time and expensive cost. In the other hand, membrane filter technology can treat ground water well with minimum energy need, low cost and easy to operate. Based on Planning and calculation result, the determined processing units are ion exchange and reverse osmosis. The ground water effluent calculated after processed by ion exchange and reverse osmosis for TDS, COD, BOD, Pb, and Cd parameters are 48,3 mg/L, 14,8 mg/L, 4,7 mg/L, 0,0009 mg/L dan 0,00025 mg/L consecutively. This study includes writing Standard Operating Procedure for operational and maintenance, to make sure that the water treatment plan operated optimally and can be used as the planning period for the units.
