Abstract

Nikel merupakan logam yang banyak diaplikasikan untuk pembuatan baterai yang mana baterai merupakan komponen utama dari kendaraan listrik. Jenis baterai yang memiliki sifat unggul adalah baterai NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) dimana dalam pembuatannya baterai NMC memiliki komposisi berupa senyawa Nickel (II) Sulphate Hexahydrate (NiSO4.6H2O). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi siklus temperatur pemanasan terhadap filtrat netralisasi hasil leaching. Proses leaching dilakukan menggunakan larutan H2SO4 2M sebanyak 120 ml pada temperatur 90°C selama 6 jam dengan kecepatan pengadukan 200 rpm. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses netralisasi dengan menggunakan bubuk CaCO3 sampai dengan pH 3,8 kemudian filtrat hasil netralisasi dipanaskan pada temperatur 70oC, 80oC, dan 90oC untuk mengendapkan pengotor dalam larutan. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan proses kristalisasi untuk menghasilkan senyawa NiSO4.6H2O. Dan didapatkan hasil terbaik pada temperatur pemanasan 90oC dengan konsentrasi Ni sebesar 93,25%, recovery Ni 93% dan kandungan Ni sebesar 18,65%.

The type of battery that has an advantage is the NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery wherein its manufacture the NMC battery has a composition of Nickel (II) Sulphate Hexahydrate (NiSO4.6H2O) compounds. This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the heating temperature cycle on the leaching neutralization filtrate. The leaching process was carried out using 120 ml of 2M H2SO4 solution at a temperature of 90°C for 6 hours with a stirring speed of 200 rpm. Subsequently, the neutralization process was carried out using CaCO3 powder up to a pH of 3.8, and then the neutralization filtrate was carried out at a temperature of 70oC, 80oC, and 90oC to precipitate impurities in the solution. After that, it was continued with the crystallization process to produce NiSO4.6H2O compounds. And get the best results at a heating temperature of 90oC with a Ni concentration of 93.25%, Ni recovery 93%, and Ni content of 18.65%.
