Abstract

Material komposit dengan filler barium heksaferit merupakan salah satu material yang penting untuk digunakan sebagai material penyerap gelombang elektromagnetik. Penambahan barium heksaferit mempengaruhi densitas dan porositas yang terbentuk pada material komposit. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan barium heksaferit terhadap morfologi, struktur, dan sifat fisik material komposit. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan menggunakan pengujian Mikroskop Digital, pengujian Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), deteksi fasa kristal menggunakan pengujian X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), dan sifat fisik menggunakan pengujian Densitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan material komposit dengan silicone rubber berpori sebagai matriks, nanoselulosa dan barium heksaferit sebagai filler. Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah fraksi massa 6% wt nanoselulosa dan 5% wt, 10% wt, 20% wt barium heksaferit. Penelitian ini telah terbentuk fasa barium heksaferit dengan dopping Zn. Material komposit silicone rubber dengan 6% nanoselulosa dan 20% barium heksaferit memiliki porositas terendah sebesar 46.301% dengan densitas tertinggi dengan nilai sebesar dengan 1.2029 gr/cm3.

Composite material using barium hexaferrite filler is one of the important materials to be used as an electromagnetic wave absorbing material. The addition of barium hexaferrite affects the density and porosity formed in the composite material. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of adding barium hexaferrite to the morphology, structure, and physical properties of composite materials. Characterization was carried out using Digital Microscope testing, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) testing, crystal phase detection using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) testing, and physical properties using Density testing. This study used a composite material with porous silicone rubber as a matrix, nanocellulose and barium hexaferrite as a filler. The variables used in this study were the mass fraction of 6% by weight of nanocellulose and 5% by weight, 10% by weight, 20% by weight of barium hexaferrite. This research has formed a phase of barium hexaferrite with Zn dopping. Silicone rubber composite material with 6% nanocellulose and 20% barium hexaferrite has the lowest porosity of 46.301% with the highest density of 1.2029 gr/cm3.
