Abstract

Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, bahan yang dikembangkan adalah busa aluminium, yang menarik perhatian dari perspektif ilmiah dan industri. Pengembangan penelitian aluminium foam ini didasarkan pada pengurangan biaya proses produksi sehingga lebih murah tanpa mengurangi sifat-sifatnya dengan densitas rendah dan kemampuan penyerapan energi yang baik. Aluminium foam dibuat menggunakan metode space holder NaCl pada investment casting. Penelitian ini menggunakan komposisi NaCl 60% dan variasi temperatur tuang 770 ºC, 800 ºC, dan 830 ºC. Busa aluminium diuji dengan mikroskop stereo, uji kompresi, dan uji impak. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diperoleh data penelitian yang optimal pada komposisi NaCl 60% dan temperatur tuang 770 ºC serta menghasilkan nilai densitas rendah 1,6 g/cm3 dan persentase porositas 40,74% karena logam cair dapat mengisi ruang antar NaCl hingga membentuk interconnected pores. pori-pori yang mempengaruhi nilai energi. Daya serap yang baik adalah 94,21 J, tetapi kuat tekan rendah adalah 25,26 MPa. Karena semakin tinggi persentase porositas maka semakin banyak pori-pori yang terbentuk dan terhubung sehingga menyebabkan penyerapan energi yang baik dan nilai kuat tekan yang rendah. ================================================================================================ In recent years, the material being developed is aluminum foam, which is attracting attention from both a scientific and an industrial perspective. The development of this research on aluminum foam is based on reducing the production process cost so that it is cheaper without reducing its properties with low density and good energy absorption ability. Aluminum foam is made using the NaCl space holder method with investment casting. This study used a composition of 60% NaCl and a pouring temperature variation of 770ºC, 800ºC, and 830ºC. The aluminium foam was tested with a stereo microscope, compression test, and impact test. Based on the test results obtained optimal research data at the composition of 60% NaCl and a pouring temperature of 770ºC and produces a low-density value of 1.60 g/cm3 and a porosity percentage of 40.74% because molten metal can fill the space between NaCl to form interconnected pores that affect the energy value. A good absorption is 94.21 J, but low compression strength is 25.26 MPa. Because the higher the percentage of porosity, the more pores are formed and connected and cause good energy absorption and low compression strength values
