Abstract

Kramat Villages, Lamongan District and Banjarejo Villages, Sukodadi District are located in the Alluvium Formation. The formation is thought to have good groundwater potential. Therefore, the potential mapping was carried out using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method with the Schlumberger configuration. Measurement and analysis of VES data was carried out at 10 points to obtain subsurface resistivity values. The results of data analysis indicate that the groundwater aquifer is thought to be found in the sandy clay layer with a resistivity of 2.19−10.5 Ωm, while the impermeable layer is clay with a resistivity of 0.83-1.94Ω m. Unconfined and confined aquifers are located at a depth of 4−7 meters and 20−70 meters, respectively. The thickness of the unconfined aquifer layer ranges from 2−4 meters, while the thickness of the confined aquifer ranges from 8−52 meters. The groundwater content in confined aquifers is brackish groundwater. The depth of the aquifer resulted by VES analysis corresponds to the depth of the local wells.
