Abstract

Aluminium merupakan logam yang paling banyak digunakan dalam bidang konstruksi dan otomotif. Porositas dapat meningkatkan sifat mekanik dari aluminium dengan memunculkan sifat absorbsi energi yang baik dengan berat dari materialnya yang sangat ringan karena densitasnya yang kecil. Pada penelitian sebelumnya, para peneliti tidak mengidentifikasi apakah pengaruh temperatur penuangan dapat mempengaruhi porositas pada aluminium poros secara spesifik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan komposisi NaCl dengan jumlah 60 wt.% Al dan variasi pouring temperatur (680, 710, 740) ℃ dengan metode investmen casting untuk menganalisis perbandingan sifat mekanik dan karakterisik al poros dari pengaruh perbedaan temperatur penuangan. Pengujian yang dilakukan untuk melihat perbedaan karakteristik dan sifat mekanik dari aluminium poros adalah pengamatan dengan mikroskop stereo, pengujian densitas dan porositas, kompresi, dan impak yang didapatkan hasil paling optimal pada temperatur 740℃ dengan nilai densitas sebesar 1,66g/cm3 dan persentase porositas 38,16% dengan terdapatnya interconnected pores. Seiring bertambahnya temperatur penuangan persentase porositas naik dan nilai kekuatan kompresi menurun dengan nilai sebesar 51,15MPa, dan nilai absorbsi energi naik dengan nilai sebesar 72,87J. ======================================================================================================== Aluminum is the most widely used metal in the construction and automotive fields. Porosity can improve the mechanical properties of aluminum by bringing out good energy absorption properties with a very light weight of the material due to its small density. In previous studies, the researchers did not identify whether the influence of pouring temperature could affect the porosity of the aluminum shaft specifically. In this study, the composition of NaCl with the amount of 60 wt.% Al and variations of pouring temperature (680, 710, 740) ℃ was used with the investment casting method to analyze the comparison of mechanical properties and porosity characteristics of the effect from different pouring temperatures. The tests carried out to see differences in the characteristics and mechanical properties of al foam were observed with stereo microscope, density and porosity, compression, and impact testing which obtained the most optimal results at a temperature of 740℃ with the density value of 1.66g/cm3 and the percentage of porosity of 38.16% with the presence of interconnected pores. As the pouring temperature increases the percentage of porosity increases and the value of the compression strength decreases with a value of 51.15MPa, and the energy absorption value increases with a value of 72.87J.
