Abstract

Cabai dan jahe merupakan tanaman hasil perkebunan didaerah pegunungan. Salah satu bentuk pengolahannya yaitu pengeringan. Pengeringan alami membutuhkan matahari sebagai sumber pemanas dengan suhu sekitar 50oC-60oC, hal tersebut menjadi masalah di pegunungan karena suhunya di bawah rata rata. Pengeringan alami memiliki ketergantungan terhadap sinar matahari dan juga rendahnya tingkat kehigienisan. Pada Tugas Akhir ini, dibuatlah prototipe Automatic Oven Machine bertenaga surya untuk alat pengering cabai dan jahe di daerah pegunungan bertujuan memecahkan masalah pengeringan di daerah pegunungan yang dapat menyebabkan turunnya harga akibat pembusukan. Mesin oven dibuat menggunakan sistem hybrid PLN menggunakan automatic transfer switch. Waktu yang digunakan untuk pengujian alat ini yaitu 6,53 jam, daya yang dibutuhkan sebesar 1670,2 Wh. Dari penelitian ini didapat karakteristik statik sensor temperatur memiliki akurasi 99,21% dan error 0,79 %, sedangkan pada sensor berat memiliki akurasi 99,36% dan error 0,64%. Max. overshoot pada set point 50OC adalah 6,44% dengan error stedy state 5,46%.

Chili and ginger are plantation crops in mountainous areas. One form of processing is drying. Natural drying requires the sun as a heating source with temperatures around 50 oC-60 oC, this is a problem in the mountains because the temperature is below average. Natural drying has a dependence on sunlight and also low levels of hygiene. In this final project, a prototype of a solar-powered Automatic Oven Machine was made for chili and ginger dryers in mountainous areas with the aim of solving the problem of drying in mountainous areas which can lead to lower prices due to decay The oven machine is made using a PLN hybrid system using an automatic transfer switch. The time used for testing this tool is 6.53 hours, the power required is 1670.2 Wh. From this study, the static characteristics of the temperature sensor have an accuracy of 99.21% and an error of 0.79%, while the weight sensor has an accuracy of 99.36% and an error of 0.64%. Max. overshoot at the 50 oC set point is 6.44% with a steady state error of 5.46%.
