Abstract

Kelembaban tanah mempunyai pengaruh cukup besar pada sektor pertanian karena dengan mengetahui kelembaban tanah, maka dapat dilakukan pengambilan keputusan terkait manajemen pertanian seperti sistem irigasi yang akan digunakan. Namun, sistem irigasi yang ada memiliki tingkat efisiensi rendah dan tidak berdasarkan kebutuhan tanah. Akibatnya, terjadi pemborosan air irigasi dan tingkat produktivitas pertanian akan menurun. Hal ini terjadi karena kelembaban tanah tidak dapat diketahui secara presisi dan real time. Oleh karena itu, pada tugas akhir ini dirancang sebuah sistem monitoring profil kedalaman tingkat kelembaban tanah. Bagian transmitter sistem terdiri dari Arduino Nano yang berperan sebagai media pembacaan data. Data diperoleh dari 3 buah capacitive soil moisture sensors yang masing-masing diletakkan di kedalaman yang berbeda pada titik area yang sama. Data prediksi kelembaban tanah per kedalaman tertentu dapat diketahui dari fungsi regresi yang terbentuk dari data kelembaban tanah masing-masing sensor terhadap kedalaman. Data kemudian dikirim oleh transmitter LoRa SX1278. Pada bagian receiver terdapat LoRa SX1278 yang berfungsi menerima data. Setelah diterima, data akan diproses oleh Arduino Uno yang dihubungkan secara serial dengan NodeMCU ESP8266 agar dapat ditampilkan pada Node-RED Dashboard melalui Wi-Fi. Sistem juga dilengkapi sleep mode untuk menghemat daya. Hasil yang dicapai pada pembuatan tugas akhir ini adalah alat dapat memprediksi kelembaban tanah dengan rata-rata error pada tanah humus 10,7%, pada tanah pasir 21,9%, dan tanah pertanian 8,8% serta berhasil memvisualisasikan data kelembaban tanah dari jarak jauh secara real time sehingga irigasi dapat diatur sesuai kebutuhan tanah dan pengukuran manual di lapangan tidak lagi dibutuhkan.

Soil moisture has a considerable impact on the agricultural sector. By knowing the soil moisture, decisions can be made regarding agricultural management such as the used irrigation system. However, the existing irrigation systems have a low level of efficiency and are not based on soil needs. As a result, the waste of irrigation water and decreasing agricultural productivity will occur. This happens because soil moisture can’t be known precisely and in real time. Therefore, in this final project, a monitoring system for monitoring the depth profile of the soil moisture level is designed. The transmitter part of the system consists of an Arduino Nano which acts as a data reading medium. Data are obtained from 3 capacitive soil moisture sensors, each of which is placed at different depths in the same area. Soil moisture prediction data per certain depth can be known from the regression function formed from soil moisture data of each sensor to depth. The data is then sent by the LoRa SX1278 transmitter. At the receiver there is LoRa SX1278 which functions to receive data. Once received, the data will be processed by Arduino Uno which is connected serially with the NodeMCU ESP8266 so that it can be displayed on the Node-RED Dashboard via Wi-Fi. The system also features a sleep mode to save power The results achieved in making this final project is the tool can predict soil moisture with an average error of 10.7% on humus soil, 21.9% on sandy soil, and 8.8% on agricultural soil and successfully visualizes soil moisture data from a distance remotely in real time so that irrigation can be adjusted according to soil requirements and manual measurements in the field are no longer needed.
