Abstract

Pada dunia industri kebutuhan sistem kelistrikan yang handal adalah suatu keharusan yang dimiliki. Apabila terjadi gangguan pada sistem kelistrikan efeknya akan mengganggu proses poduksi dalam industri dan akan menyebabkan kerugian yang tidak diinginkan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu sistem proteksi yang mampu bekerja memutus arus gangguan yang muncul pada sistem dengan cepat dan tepat.
Dalam tugas akhir ini akan menganalisa sistem kelistrikan PT.Holcim NR4 dan melakukan evaluasi setelan sistem proteksinya dengan mempertimbangkan Arc Flash (busur api). Karena busur api merupakan kondisi yang berbahaya karena adanya pelepasan energi bunga api listrik. ArcFlash adalah total energi yang dilepaskan ketika terjadi gangguan hubung singkat. Kemudian menghitung besarnya incident energy yang muncul dan akan dibandingkan sebelum serta sesudah penyetelan sistem proteksinya. Serta mengkategorikan level incident energy yang muncul untuk kemudian memilih Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) yang sesuai untuk pekerja.

In the industrial world, the need for a reliable electrical system is a must. If there is a disturbance in the electrical system the effect will disrupt the production process in the industry and will cause unwanted losses. Therefore we need a protection system that is able to work to break the fault current that appears in the system quickly and precisely.

In this final project will analyze the electrical system PT.Holcim NR4 and evaluate the protection system settings by considering Arc Flash. Because arcing is a dangerous condition due to the release of electrical spark energy. ArcFlash is the total energy released when a short circuit occurs. Then calculate the amount of incident energy that appears and will be compared before and after setting the protection system. As well as categorizing the level of incident energy that appears to then choose the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for workers.
