Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditi utama yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Hal tersebut dikarenakan minyak kelapa sawit merupakan industri hulu yang sangat penting bagi berbagai industri lainnya, seperti: makanan, kosmetik, sabun dan cat. Pabrik Olein akan didirikan dan siap beroperasi pada tahun 2025. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan di daerah Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang, Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi. Pemilihan lokasi pabrik ini berkaitan dengan ketersediaan bahan baku utama berupa kelapa sawit yang mudah diperoleh, karena menurut data BPS wilayah Sumatera merupakan provinsi dengan areal perkebunan kelapa sawit terluas di Indonesia. Bahan baku Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) yang digunakan memiliki komposisi buah sawit sebesar 71%, dan tandan kosong 29%. Kapasitas produksi Olein direncanakan sebesar 11625ton olein/jam. Dalam pemenuhan kapasitas tahunan, pabrik akan beroperasi kontinyu 24 jam per hari selama 330 hari. Proses pembuatan Olein dapat diuraikan menjadi 4 tahapan proses utama, yaitu proses penerimaan buah, sterilisasi, pengepresan, refinery dan fraksinasi. Tahap pertama yaitu TBS yang telah di sortir dimasukan kedalam lori dan diangkut menuju Sterilizer. Setelah itu mengalami beberapa proses seperti pelepasan buah dari tandan, perebusan di Digester, pengepresan dan pemurnian. Hasil dari proses sebelumnya adalah CPO dan lanjut ke proses refinery yang terdiri dari tahap Degumming, Bleaching, Filtrasi, dan Deodorisasi. Di tahap ini akan diperoleh produk berupa Refined Belach Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO). Dilanjutkan dengan proses terakhir yaitu fraksinasi yang terdiri dari kritalisasi dan filtrasi, dan hasil dari proses tersebut berupa Olein dan Stearin.

Palm oil is one of the main commodities that affect Indonesia's economic growth. This is because palm oil is an upstream industry that is very important for various other industries, such as: food, cosmetics, soap and paint. The Olein factory will be established and ready to operate in 2025. The factory location is planned in the Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang area, Bungo Regency, Jambi. The choice of location for this factory is related to the availability of the main raw material in the form of palm oil which is easy to obtain, because according to BPS data, Sumatra is the province with the largest oil palm plantation area in Indonesia. The raw material for Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) used has a composition of 71% of palm fruit and 29% of empty fruit bunches. Olein production capacity is planned at 11625 tons of olein/hour. In fulfilling the annual capacity, the factory will operate continuously 24 hours per day for 330 days. The process of making olein can be broken down into 4 main process stages, namely the process of receiving fruit, sterilizing, pressing, refining and fractionating. The first stage is that FFB that has been sorted is put into a lorry and transported to the Sterilizer. After that, it undergoes several processes such as releasing the fruit from the bunch, boiling in the digester, pressing and refining. The result of the previous process is CPO and proceeds to the refinery process which consists of the stages of Degumming, Bleaching, Filtration, and Deodorization. At this stage, the product will be obtained in the form of Refined Belach Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO). Followed by the last process, namely fractionation consisting of crystallization and filtration, and the results of the process are Olein and Stearin.
