Abstract

Pakan ternak harus memiliki nilai protein yang cukup, salah satu pakan ternak yang tinggi protein dan asam amino adalah maggot Black Soldier Fly. Maggot dapat diberikan kepada hewan seperti reptile, burung kicau dan sebagai umpan pancing. Salah satu produk olahan maggot adalah maggot kering. Saat ini cukup banyak produsen maggot di Indonesia, kebanyakan masih menggunakan metode manual berupa pengeringan dengan oven manual maupun sangrai dalam pembuatan maggot keringnya. Namun metode tersebut memerlukan waktu yang relatif cukup lama yakni kurang lebih 24 jam agar kadar air maggot sesuai dengan harapan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membuat rancang bangun alat berbasis Aplikasi Blynk guna mempercepat proses pengeringan maggot. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sistem pengendalian suhu dengan menggunakan sensor termokopel pada set point paling ideal adalah 70C dari (50C, 60C dan 70C) dengan tipe pengendalian on/off. Pengeringan maggot terbaik didapatkan untuk berat 500gr pada suhu 70C selama 70 menit. Maggot kering ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif pakan ternak baik diberikan secara langsung maupun melalui pengolahan kembali menjadi tepung maggot. Dengan alat ini diharapkan dapat mempersingkat produksi maggot kering dan menambah nilai jual dan kualitas maggot yang dihasilkan.

Animal feed must have sufficient protein value, one of the animal feeds that are high in protein and amino acids is maggot Black Soldier Fly. Maggot can be given to animals such as reptiles, chirping birds and as fishing bait. One of the processed maggot products is dry maggot. Currently, there are quite a lot of maggot producers in Indonesia, most of them still use manual methods in the form of drying with a manual oven or roasting in the manufacture of dry maggots. However, this method requires a relatively long time, which is approximately 24 hours so that the maggot water content is in line with expectations. This research was conducted to design a tool based on the Blynk Application to speed up the maggot drying process. In this study, a temperature control system was made using a thermocouple sensor at the most ideal set point of 70C from (50C, 60C and 70C) with on/off control type. The best maggot drying was obtained for a weight of 500gr at 70C for 70 minutes. This dried maggot can be used as an alternative to animal feed either given directly or through reprocessing into maggot flour. This tool is expected to shorten the production of dry maggot and increase the selling value and quality of the maggot produced.
