Abstract

Penentuan konsentrasi NaCl optimum sebagai aktivator kulit pisang pada suhu ruang untuk menurunkan kadar Cr(VI) dalam air telah dilakukan. Adsorpsi dilakukan dengan metode batch untuk menentukan kondisi optimum pH dan waktu kontak. Filtrat hasil adsorpsi dengan Spektofotometer Serapan Atom pada panjang gelombang maksimum 357,9 nm. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, didapatkan konsentrasi NaCl optimum sebesar 5 M. Adsorpsi optimum terjadi pada pH 2 dan waktu kontak 135 menit dengan persentase penurunan Cr(VI) sebesar 93,53%.

The optimum condition of NaCl-activated banana peel adsorbent at room temperature was determined to reduce Cr(VI) ion in aqueous solution. Adsorption was carried out using the batch method to determine the optimum conditions for pH and contact time. The adsorption filtrate was measured using AAS at a maximum wavelength of 357.9 nm. Based on the experiment shows that the optimum NaCl concentration was 5 M. The optimum adsorption occurred at pH 2 with contact time 135 minutes with the removal percentage of 93.53%.
