Abstract

Bakteri dapat dikelompokkan menjadi dua jenis, yaitu bakteri gram positif dan gram negatif. Selain itu, beberapa jenis bakteri dapat memberikan dampak buruk bagi kesehatan manusia. Oleh karena itu manusia menciptakan teknologi material antibakteri untuk dapat membantu mengendalikan pertumbuhan bakteri yang dapat memberikan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan manusia. Pada penelitian Tugas Akhir ini, akan membahas mengenai karakteristik antibakteri biopolimer kitosan dengan Degree of Deacetylation (DD) sebesar 94% yang terdoping partikel nano emas (AuNPs), yang telah dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektroskopi UV-Vis, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), dan Energy Dispersion X-Ray (EDX). AuNPs yang didapatkan memiliki puncak absorbansi pada λ = 549 nm, sedangkan ukuran partikel kitosan yang didapatkan setelah melakukan pengolahan citra menggunakan software ImageJ adalah 159,785 ± 39,2953 μm atau 0,16 ± 0,039 mm. Uji karakteristik antibakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan konsentrasi kitosan terdoping AuNPs tertentu. Karakteristik bakterisidal terbaik dimiliki oleh kitosan terdoping AuNPs sebanyak 2 mL

Therefore, humans created antibacterial material technology to help control the growth of bacteria that can have a negative impact on human health. In this final project, we will discuss the antibacterial characteristics of chitosan biopolymer with a 94% Degree of Deacetylation (DD) doped with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), which have been characterized using UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Energy Dispersion X-Ray (EDX). The obtained AuNPs have an absorbance peak at = 549 nm, while the particle size of chitosan obtained after processing the image using ImageJ software is 159.785 ± 39.2953 m or 0.16 ± 0.039 mm. Antibacterial characteristic test was carried out using a certain concentration of AuNPs doped chitosan. The best bactericidal characteristics were obtained by chitosan doped with AuNPs as much as 2 mL
