Proses monitoring kondisi mesin chiller di PT. Indolakto masih dilakukan secara manual pada lokasi plant mesin chiller, sehingga untuk melakukan pemantauan memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama karena harus menuju lokasi terlebih dahulu. Maka dari itu perlu adanya sistem monitoring yang dapat dipantau setiap saat. Salah satunya menggunakan situs web. Dimana data yang ditampilkan perlu disimpan terlebih dahulu di database. Namun data yang tersimpan pada database rentan untuk disalahgunakan. Sehingga perlu adanya pengamanan data supaya tidak disalahgunakan oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan metode enkripsi saat menyimpan data di database.
Metode enkripsi yang digunakan adalah vernam chiper, dimana chipertext dihasilkan dengan melakukan XOR bitwise dari plaintext dengan kuncinya. Proses ini dilakukan pada saat variabel data masuk ke control & processing unit. Sehingga data yang tersimpan di database adalah data yang terenkripsi.
Dari hasil yang diperoleh pengiriman data ke database apabila tidak menggunakan enkripsi memerlukan waktu 8,36 detik, sedangkan jika menggunakan enkripsi membutuhkan waktu 10,00 detik. Kemudian pada proses dekripsi memerlukan waktu rata-rata 1,15 milidetik, sedangkan apabila tidak ada proses dekripsi membutuhkan waktu ratarata 0,90 milidetik. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa enkripsi data pada sistem monitoring ini menambah waktu proses sistem, namun data yang tersimpan menjadi lebih aman karena telah terenkripsi.
The process of monitoring the condition of the chiller machine at PT. Indolakto is still done manually at the chiller machine plant location, so it is necessary to have a monitoring system that can be monitored at any time. One of them can use the website as a means of monitoring, the data displayed on the website needs to be stored in the database first.
However, the data stored in the database is vulnerable to misuse. So there is a need for data security so that it cannot be misused by irresponsible parties. One of them is the use of data encryption methods when storing data in the database. The encryption method used is vernam cipher, where the ciphertext is generated by doing a bitwise XOR of the plaintext with the key. This process is carried out when the data variables enter the control & processing unit. So that the data stored in the database is encrypted data.
From the results obtained, sending data to the database if not using encryption takes 8.36 seconds, while if using encryption takes 10.00 seconds. Then the decryption process takes an average of 1.15 milliseconds, whereas if there is no decryption process it takes an average of 0.90 milliseconds. From these results it is concluded that data encryption in this monitoring system increases system processing time, but the stored data becomes more secure because it is encrypted.
