Abstract

This study aims to obtain the distribution of porosity value with optimum and representative correlation value in Field "X", North East Java Basin using multi-attribute probabilistic neural network (PNN) analysis. PNN seismic multi-attribute analysis is used in this study to interpret seismic data to obtain predictions of the value of porosity distribution of research areas with a high degree of validation. In the algorithm PNN is divided into three parts namely input layer, hidden layer, and output layer. In the input part of the layer is the type of attribute used, hidden layer is a combination of several attributes used, and the output layer presents the porosity value derived from the esitimasi hidden layer. The data used to conduct this study are 2D Post – Stack Depth Time Migration (PSTM) seismic, well data, and geological information. The three data are then integrated and processed using Hampson Russel (HRS) software. The number of attributes used is determined in the step wise regression process. While neural network is used in the training process using pre-defined attributes. From the results of this study obtained porosity value after multi-attribute analysis of probabilistic neural network at 1236.43 m to 1972.52 m is ranging from 5% to 23% with cross - correlation 0.119573 and error 0.153281. The results showed that probabilistic neural network methods can improve the relationship between attribute parameters and porosity so that a better porosity distribution is obtained in the research area.
