Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian rancang bangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu (PLTB) berbasis Wind-Lens Turbine dengan variasi tinggi brim. Diameter Wind-Lens Turbine adalah 0,4 m dengan panjang diffuser (L=0,62D). Variasi tinggi brim yang digunakan adalah 0 D; 0,1 D; 0,2 D; dan 0,3D. Variasi kecepatan angin yang digunakan adalah 3 m/s, 4 m/s, 5m/s, dan 6 m/s. Data yang didapatkan berupa rpm (rotasi/menit), panjang regangan pegas (m), tegangan listrik (V), dan arus listrik (A). Data diolah untuk mengetahui daya masukan (W), daya keluaran (W), daya generator (W), torsi (Nm), tip speed ratio, dan koefisien power. Wind-Lens Turbine dibuat dengan menggabungkan 5 bagian yaitu bilah rotor, bracket, selubung turbin, rangkaian kelistrikan, dan tiang penyangga. Variasi 0,3 D menghasilkan daya keluaran maksimal (0,78±0,06) W dan koefisien power maksimal (13,03±0,01) %.

Research on the design of a Wind Power Plant based on WindLens Turbine has been carried out with variastions in brim height. The diameter used is 40 cm with length of diffuser is L=0,62 D. The variations of the brim height used is 0 D; 0,1 D; 0,2 D; dan 0,3D. The variations of the wind velocity used is 3 m/s, 4 m/s, 5m/s, dan 6 m/s. data obtained are rpm (rotation/minute), strain length (m), voltage (V), and current (A). Data is processed to find input power (W), output power (W), generator power (W), torque (Nm), tip speed ratio, and power coefficient. The design of a WindLens Turbine is made by combining five part inlude rotor blade, bracket, shroud, electrical circuit, and tower stand. Height of brim with variation 0,3 D produced highest output power (0,78±0,06) W and power coefficient (13,03±0,01) %.
