Abstract

Fenomena urban sprawl menyebabkan terjadinya gaya hidup penggunaan kendaraan pribadi sebagai preferensi utama transportasi dan berakibat pada kemacetan, pencemaran udara dan penggunaan energi yang terus meningkat. Palembang dengan luas 400,6 km² dan 8,5 juta penduduk adalah kota yang sangat berkembang dan menawarkan solusi dengan dibangunnya sistem transportasi baru yaitu Light Rail Transit (LRT) Sumatera Selatan Aksesibilitas yang dihasilkan dari sistem transportasi yang baik akan mendorong terbentuknya ruang-ruang kota yang ideal. Transit Oriented Development (TOD) yaitu pendekatan yang menekankan tidak hanya aksesibilitas transit tetapi juga fitur lingkungan yang berkelanjutan di sekitar 400-800 meter titik transit. Merancang TOD bagi kota yang memiliki transportasi massal adalah cara untuk mengintegrasikan keseluruhan moda transportasi dengan unsur pembentuk kota. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana ruang kota yang ada di sekitar titik transit LRT Sumatera Selatan yang merupakan area TOD bagaimana kriteria yang sesuai untuk perancangan area transit LRT Sumatera Selatan. Variabel yang dilihat adalah kualitas ruang kota pada simpul transit di stasiun LRT Sumatera Selatan dan dilakukan penilaian berdasarkan kriteria TOD Index dengan metode combined research menggunakan wawancara dan kuisioner untuk mendapatkan penilaian dari stakeholder dan observasi dengan good public space index, serta dihasilkan kriteria model konsep yang sesuai untuk ruang kota di area transit LRT Sumsel. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwa permasalahan utama merupakan lahan parkir dengan presentase penilaian 38%, kualitas ruang yang terendah dari stasiun yang diamati adalah stasiun pada tipologi sub-kota yaitu Stasiun Dishub. Sehingga kriteria yang terbentuk mengarah pada membangun infrastruktur tambahan pendukung untuk layanan TOD. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat dalam pengembangan kota Palembang dari segi arsitektur dan pemanfaatan transportasi. ================================================================================================ The phenomenon of urban sprawl causes a lifestyle of using private vehicles as the main transportation preference and results in congestion, air pollution and increasing energy use. Palembang with an area of 400.6 km² and 8.5 million inhabitants is a very developed city and offers a solution with the construction of a new transportation system, namely the Light Rail Transit (LRT) South Sumatra. Accessibility resulting from a good transportation system will encourage the formation of ideal urban spaces. Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is an approach that emphasizes not only transit accessibility but also sustainable environmental features around 400-800 meters of transit points. Designing a TOD for a city that has mass transportation is a way to integrate all modes of transportation with the elements that make up the city. This study was conducted to find out how the urban space around the South Sumatra LRT transit point which is the TOD area, how the criteria are suitable for designing the South Sumatra LRT transit area. The variables seen are the quality of urban space at the transit node at the South Sumatra LRT station and an assessment is carried out based on the TOD Index criteria with the combined research method using interviews and questionnaires to obtain assessments from stakeholders and observations with the good public space index, and the resulting concept model criteria are appropriate. for urban space in the South Sumatra LRT transit area. The results obtained are that the main problem is the parking area with a rating percentage of 38%, the lowest space quality of the observed stations is the station in the sub-city typology, namely the Dishub Station. So that the criteria formed lead to building additional supporting infrastructure for TOD services. This research is expected to provide benefits in the development of the city of Palembang in terms of architecture and use of transportation.
