Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a contagious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by mosquito vectors from the species Aedes aegypti. One of the provinces contributing the largest number of DHF cases in Indonesia is West Java Province, which is in the first rank. There are several factors that are thought to influence the number of dengue cases, including the percentage of poor people, the ratio of health facilities, and the percentage of educational facilities that qualify health requirements. To solve this case, a modeling with spatial methods is needed because it take notice the geographical conditions in West Java. Modeling with attention to spatial factors using GWGPR and GWNBR. The highest number of DHF cases in Bandung is 1992 cases and the lowest is in Bogor, which are 69 cases. Modeling with GWGPR resulted in 6 groupings for variables that have a significant effect on each district/city, while modeling with GWNBR resulted in 4 groupings for variables that have a significant effect on each district/city. Comparison of AICc values of the GWGPR and GWNBR models shows that the GWGPR method is the most suitable method for modeling the number of DHF cases in each district/city in West Java compared to the GWNBR method.
