Abstract

Di Pulau Rote, NTT, ditemukan banyak bahan baku sisa bambu (biomassa). Meskipun memiliki biomassa yang cukup untuk pembangkit listrik, masyarakat di Pulau Rote belum bisa merasakan listrik seharian penuh. PT Parametrik Solusi Integrasi bekerja sama dengan ITS mengembangkan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biomassa (PLTBm) untuk membantu masyarakat. Dalam PLTBm terdapat beberapa bagian, yaitu sistem pengisian bahan bakar, tangki proses gasifikasi, mesin penggerak mula, dan generator. Peran generator yaitu menghasilkan listrik sesuai dengan standar listrik Indonesia sebesar 220 Volt. Namun perubahan kecepatan putar rotor dan jumlah beban mempengaruhi kestabilan tegangan terminal generator. Jika putaran rotor generator cepat, maka tegangan terminal membesar. Beda halnya dengan jumlah beban yang dihubungkan ke-generator, jika beban bertambah maka tegangan terminal turun. Dengan begitu diperlukan pengatur tegangan eksitasi yang mempengaruhi kestabilan tegangan terminal generator. Pengembangan Proyek Akhir ini berupa Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen. Terdapat boost converter, regulator, buck converter, mikrokontroler, voltage divider, dan rectifier sebagai komponen penyusun AVR. Tegangan masukan diproses menggunakan metode Hill Climbing. Metode ini berperan mengatur besar tegangan eksitasi yang dihubungkan ke-rotor generator. AVR diintegrasikan dengan generator AC 1 phase. Tegangan eksitasi generator diatur oleh AVR menggunakan metode Hill Climbing dengan kecepatan respon terhadap perubahan beban sebesar 37,14 ms, dan simpangan tegangan keluaran generator sebesar 9,1% dari tegangan yang diharapkan (220 Volt). ===================================================================================================== On Rote Island, NTT, found a lot of raw material leftover bamboo (biomass). Despite having sufficient biomass to generate electricity, people on Rote Island have not been able to feel electricity all day long. PT Parametri Solusi Integrasi in collaboration with ITS developed a Biomass Power Plant (PLTBm) to help the community. In PLTBm there are several parts, namely the fuel filling system, gasification process tank, prime mover engine, and generator. The role of the generator is to produce electricity according to the Indonesian electricity standard of 220 V. However, changes in the rotational speed of the rotor and the amount of load affect the stability of the generator terminal voltage. If the rotation of the generator rotor is fast, then the terminal voltage increases. Unlike the case with the number of loads connected to the generator, if the load increases, the terminal voltage drops. Thus, it is necessary to regulate the excitation voltage which affects the stability of the generator terminal voltage. The development of this final project is in the form of an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) which consists of several components. There is a boost converter, regulator, buck converter, microcontroller, voltage divider, and rectifier as components of the AVR. The input voltage is processed using the Hill Climbing method. This method plays a role in regulating the excitation voltage that is connected to the generator rotor. The AVR is integrated with a single phase AC generator. The generator excitation voltage is regulated by the AVR using the Hill Climbing method with a response speed to load changes of 37.14 ms, and a generator output voltage deviation of 9.1% of the expected voltage (220 Volts).
