Abstract

Telah dilakukan kajian biomarka fraksi hidrokarbon alifatik dan aromatik pada sampel sedimen PLM-5 Formasi Ngrayong. Analisis biomarka dilakukan dengan tahapan ekstraksi, fraksinasi, dan identifikasi menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrometri Massa (KG-SM). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan nilai CPI= 1,26; OEP= 1,14; Wax Index = 0,15; ACL= 28,71; Paq= 0,37 serta terbentuknya pola distribusi bimodal n-alkana mengindikasikan masukan bahan organik dari beberapa sumber yang berbeda. Ditemukan keberadaan senyawa kadalena; olean-12-ena, senyawa hopanoid, serta nilai C31αβ 22S/(22S+22R) = 0,30 menunjukkan tingkat kematangan sedimen yang rendah. Selain itu, teridentifikasinya senyawa C31 homohopana dan de-A-lupana pada sedimen PLM-5 menunjukkan kondisi lingkungan pengendapan terestrial yang bersifat oksik. Analisis biomarka yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa bahan organik sedimen PLM-5 Formasi Ngrayong berasal dari sumber bervariasi dengan tingkat kematangan termal yang rendah, serta terendapkan pada lingkungan yang bersifat oksik.

Study of aliphatic and aromatic biomarkers fractions has been carried out on PLM-5 sediment sample from Ngrayong Formation. Biomarker analysis was carried out by extraction, fractination, and identification using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The identification results show the value of CPI = 1.26; OEP = 1.14; Wax Index= 0.15; ACL= 28,71; Paq= 0,37 with bimodal distribution of n-alkanes compounds indicates that input of organic matter from several different sources. The presence of cadalene; olean-12-ene, hopanoid compounds, and the value of C31αβ 22S/(22S+22R) = 0,30 showed a low level of sediment maturity. In addition, the C31 homohopane and de-A-lupane compound in the PLM-5 sediment showed an oxic terrestrial environmental condition. The biomarka analysis carried out showed that organic material of the PLM-5 sediment of Ngrayong Formation was composed from various sources with low temperature levels, and was deposited in an oxic environment.
