Abstract

Korosi dapat menjadi bahaya seperti ambruknya bangunan. Hal ini yang menyebabkan perlunya mengecek paku dalam engsel yang akan digunakan terhadap struktur bangunan. Paku yang sering digunakan masyarakat pada umumnya yakni paku dengan ukuran 3cm, 5cm, dan 7 cm. Sehingga perlu dilakukannya penelitian dengan cara memberikan faktor lingkungan kepada paku dengan memberi air PDAM, air hujan, dan air laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana laju korosi paku saat berada di lingkungan yang rentan dengan menggunakan metode rancangan faktorial. Rancangan faktorial digunakan untuk mengetahui efek beberapa faktor sekaligus, serta kemungkinan adanya pengaruh interaksi antara faktor-faktor dalam suatu eksperimen. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah laju tercepat untuk korosi adalah pada paku berukuran 7cm dengan air hujan. terdapat pengaruh dari ukuran paku, jenis air, dan interaksi antara ukuran paku dengan jenis air dengan laju korosi. pengujian berganda didapatkan rata-rata ukuran paku 7cm tidak sama dengan rata-rata ukuran paku 3cm serta rata-rata jenis air laut tidak sama dengan rata-rata jenis air PDAM dan air hujan. laju korosi paku memenuhi asumsi identik, dependen dan berdristibusi normal.

Corrosion can be as dangerous as a building collapse. This causes the need to check the nails in the hinges that will be used on the building structure. The nails that are often used by the public in general are nails with sizes of 3 cm, 5 cm, and 7 cm. So it is necessary to do research by giving environmental factors to nails by giving PDAM water, rain water, and sea water. This study aims to determine how fast the rate of nail corrosion when in a vulnerable environment using the factorial design method. Factorial design is used to determine the effect of several factors at once, as well as the possibility of interaction between factors in an experiment. From the results of the study, it was found that the fastest rate for corrosion was on a 7cm nail with rainwater. There is an effect of nail size, water type, and the interaction between nail size and water type with corrosion rate. Multiple tests found that the average nail size of 7cm is not the same as the average nail size of 3cm and the average type of seawater is not the same as the average type of PDAM water and rainwater. The rate of nail corrosion satisfies the assumption of identical, dependent and normal distribution.
