Abstract

One of the benchmarks for the success of invoices at PT "X" Site "A" is the speed of the process, which can be measured through labor productivity. This study aims to improve the performance of labor productivity at PT "X" with a lean six sigma approach to productivity and setup time at PT "X". By using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control), the measurement of productivity and setup time using a robust adaptive EWMA (Exponentially Weighted Moving Average) control chart with k = 3 and λ=0,05 for productivity and λ=0,05 for setup time, indicate that productivity and setup time have not been controlled statistically. A new target is calculated using a time-motion study which produces a smaller target than the previous target. Root Cause Analysis is used to find the cause of each waste using 5 whys, and Ishikawa diagrams to determine the factors that affect productivity. Recommendations were made to forecast the volume of inbound, outbound, and manpower per day every week, eliminating manual scan check activities, updating targets after stable productivity, and recording remarks or issues encountered per day. These recommendations are expected to provide solutions to problems at PT "X" site "A" to increase overall productivity.
