Abstract

Infrastructure development in the form of toll roads aims to meet connectivity between regions so that economic and social activities can run. With the existence of economic activity in the community, economic growth can be increased. One of the toll road development efforts in Indonesia is the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.
On the topic of Final Project, the selected toll road section is in the Prabumulih - Muara Enim STA 64 + 950 - 65 + 100 section with an overview of the structure in the form of a bridge. The bridge has a length of 108 m spanning the Baturaja - Prabumulih national road and a railroad track with an existing structural system using prestressed I girder. The main reason for modifying the structural system using a steel box arc is that the bridge can withstand the bending moment that occurs by passing on the tensile force to the arch so that the force changes to compression and is passed on to the Abutment. Another reason is that according to the bridge planning by the Directorate General of Highways, the prestressed I girder structure system only has an economic span of up to 40 m. So that the bridge has an economic span value that is in accordance with the bridge planning, a new structural system was chosen, namely using an Arch Bridge or often called a steel arch / arch bridge. In addition, choosing a design using this system is expected to become a new iconic city in Prabumulih, South Sumatra.
