Abstract

Indonesia memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk menjadi salah satu produsen garam dunia. Dengan garis pantai terpanjang keempat di dunia, Indonesia memiliki modal yang cukup untuk memproduksi garam dalam jumlah besar. Namun, kualitas garam rakyat yang dihasilkan masih belum dapat memenuhi standar kualitas garam untuk kebutuhan industri sehingga kebutuhan garam industri di Indonesia masih mengandalkan impor. Melakukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas garam sangat penting. Salah satu proses dari metode hidroekstraksi yaitu proses pengeringan. Perancangan sistem pengeringan untuk proses pemurnian garam dimulai dari perancangan desain hardware dan software. Selain itu dilakukan pula perancangan sistem otomatisasi sehingga dapat melakukan pengendalian secara otomatis terhadap aktuator yang digunakan yaitu heater dan pompa vacuum. Sistem pengukuran pada alat ini menggunakan sensor DS18B20 dan DHT22 yang berfungsi untuk mengukur suhu serta kelembaban. Sistem ini dapat dimonitoring secara langsung dan jarak jauh. Data hasil monitoring sensor pada alat akan ditampilkan pada aplikasi blynk. Percobaan alat dilakukan dengan proses waktu 2jam diperoleh kondisi pada ruang pengeringan dengan temperature sebesar 60°C, tekanan -35CmHg, dan kelembaban sebesar 69,4%.

Indonesia has considerable potential to become one of the world's salt producers. With the fourth longest coastline in the world, Indonesia has sufficient capital to produce large amounts of salt. However, the quality of the people's salt produced is still not able to meet the quality standards of salt for industrial needs, so the need for industrial salt in Indonesia still relies on imports. Innovating to increase salt productivity is very important. One of the processes of the hydroextraction method is the drying process. The design of the drying system for the salt purification process starts from the design of hardware and software designs. In addition, an automation system design is also carried out so that it can automatically control the actuators used, namely heaters and vacuum pumps. The measurement system on this tool uses DS18B20 and DHT22 sensors which function to measure temperature and humidity. This system can be monitored directly and remotely. The sensor monitoring data on the device will be displayed on the blynk application. The experiment was carried out with a process of 2 hours and obtained conditions in the drying room with a temperature of 60°C, a pressure of -35CmHg, and a humidity of 69.4%.
