Abstract

PT “X” merupakan salah satu industri rokok besar dan terkemuka di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Tahun 2020, PT “X” mencatatkan laba bersih meroket sebesar 409% secara tahunan dan menduduki peringkat pertama dalam emitmen penjualan di saat pandemik. Pertumbuhan penjualan tahun 2020 ini didorong oleh produk unggulan yang baru dirilis perseroan yakni di segmen Sigaret Kretek Mesin (SKM) dengan jenama “DEV”. Saat ini, pengendalian kualitas di PT “X” hanya dilakukan secara deskriptif dan univariat dimana terdapat kelemahan yaitu kurang efisien terhadap waktu dan tenaga. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas secara statistik untuk mengetahui kebaikan proses. Penelitian ini menggunakan grafik kendali Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM (MEC) untuk mendeteksi pergeseran rata-rata proses. Grafik kendali MEC terdiri dari Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM Control Chart 1 (MEC1) dan Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM Control Chart 2 (MEC2). Karakteristik kualitas yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah berat, pressure drop atau berat hisap, dan diameter rokok. Hasil analisis menggunakan pembobot (lambda) = 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4 dan 0,5 menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi rokok “DEV” tidak terkendali secara statistik. Grafik kendali MEC1 yang diterapkan lebih sensitif dari grafik kendali MEC2 karena menghasilkan lebih banyak pengamatan yang out of control. Setelah dilakukan identifikasi, variabel berat dan pressure drop rokok adalah variabel yang berpengaruh paling besar terhadap terjadinya out of control. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat kepada PT “X” sebagai evaluasi proses produksi rokok “DEV”.

PT “X” is one of the largest and leading cigarette industries in East Java Province. In 2020, PT “X” recorded a rocketing net profit of 409% on an annual basis and was ranked first in sales issuers during the pandemic. Sales growth in 2020 was driven by the company's newly released superior product, namely the Machine-made Kretek Cigarette (SKM) segment under the "DEV" brand. Currently, quality control at PT “X” is only carried out descriptively and univariately where there are weaknesses, namely being less efficient with time and effort. Therefore, statistical quality control is necessary to determine the goodness of the process. This study uses the Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM (MEC) control chart to detect the shift in the process mean. The MEC control chart consists of Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM Control Chart 1 (MEC1) and Mixed Multivariate EWMA-CUSUM Control Chart 2 (MEC2). The quality characteristics used in this study were weight, pressure drop or suction weight, and cigarette diameter. The results of the analysis using weights (lambda) 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4; and 0,5 indicate that the production process of "DEV" cigarettes is not statistically controlled. The MEC1 control chart is more sensitive than the MEC2 control chart because it produces more out of control observations. After identification, weight and pressure variable of cigarettes "DEV" is the most influential on the occurrence out of control. This research is expected to provide benefits to PT “X” as an evaluation of the "DEV" cigarette process
