Abstract

Perancangan alat pemroses pakan ternak berupa wet food untuk kucing menggunakan bahan baku maggot black soldier fly, rebusan tempe dan, kuning telur. Penggunaan bahan baku maggot black soldier fly karena BSF memiliki nilai protein yang tinggi, dan pembibitannya sangat mudah. Namun pemanfaatan dari maggot BSF kurang di maksimalkan dan proses pengolahan untuk pakan ternak masih jarang dilakukan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengembangan terhadap proses produksi pakan ternak sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi pakan ternak dengan menggunakan control Programmable Logic Control (PLC). PLC digunakan sebagai controller yang mengendalikan proses pengukuran bahan baku dan pencampuran pada mixing tank sehingga sehingga semua proses dapat dilakukan secara otomatis. Komponen utama perangkat keras terdiri dari perancangan otomasi proses dalam pembuatan pakan wet food untuk kucing, selanjutnya karakterisasi sistem juga akan dilakukan untuk mengetahui performansi alat pemroses pakan ternak melalui otomasi proses untuk pakan wet food bagi kucing. Data hasil pengujian dari pembuatan pakan ternak menggunakan sample bubur tepung didapat seberat 729 gram dengan waktu uji pada timer 1 selama 22 detik, timer 2 selama20 detik, timer 3 selama 15 detik dan waktu pengadukan selama 30 detik. Hasil dari Tugas Akhir ini merupakan prototipe yang akan dijadikan kemajuan teknologi dalam indutri peternakan agar dapat meningkatkan produksi pakan ternak.

The design of animal feed processing equipment in the form of wet food for cats uses maggot black soldier fly raw materials, tempeh stew and egg yolks. The use of raw material for maggot black soldier fly is because BSF has a high protein value, and breeding is very easy. However, the utilization of BSF maggot is not maximized and the processing for animal feed is still rarely carried out. For this reason, it is necessary to develop the animal feed production process so that it can increase animal feed production by using Programmable Logic Control (PLC) control. PLC is used as a controller that controls the process of measuring raw materials and mixing in the mixing tank so that all processes can be done automatically. The main hardware components consist of designing process automation in the manufacture of wet food feed for cats, then system characterization will also be carried out to determine the performance of animal feed processing equipment through process automation for wet food feed for cats. The test results data from the manufacture of animal feed using flour slurry samples were obtained weighing 729 grams with a test time on timer 1 for 22 seconds, timer 2 for 20 seconds, timer 3 for 15 seconds and stirring time for 30 seconds. The results of this final project are a prototype that will be used as technological advances in the livestock industry in order to increase animal feed production.
