Abstract

Kehilangan air fisik pipa distribusi Jalur Baru Cabang Kedung Halang sebesar 24,69% (19.114 m3/bulan) melebihi standar kehilangan air fisik (5%). Kehilangan air fisik diakibatkan oleh kebocoran pada jaringan pipa distribusi yang menyebabkan kerugian kuantitas, kontinuitas, kerugian keuangan, dan berkurangnya tekanan aliran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi penurunan kehilangan air fisik yang tepat.
Penelitian dilakukan melalui kajian pengaruh kehilangan air fisik pada Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum (SPAM), evaluasi District Meter Area (DMA) berdasarkan standar desain, dan analisis hidrolik jaringan pipa distribusi menggunakan EPANET 2.2. Penurunan kehilangan air fisik di pipa distribusi dengan melakukan pengendalian tekanan menggunakan Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV), kemudian ditetapkan strategi yang sesuai kondisi lokasi penelitian. Analisis kelayakan investasi menggunakan metode Net Pressent Value (NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), dan Payback Period (PP).
Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kehilangan air fisik Jalur Baru menyebabkan kehilangan debit air berekening 15.241 m3/bulan, kehilangan pelanggan 805 SL, kerugian keuangan Rp135.904.393/bulan, dan meningkatkan biaya produksi Rp100.148.903/bulan. DMA telah memenuhi standar desain. Strategi alternatif pertama pengendalian tekanan menggunakan 8 PRV dengan satu kali pengaturan tekanan. Strategi alternatif kedua menggunakan 8 PRV dengan dua kali pengaturan tekanan. Strategi alternatif pertama menurunkan kehilangan air fisik sebesar 3,41% menjadi 21,28% dengan debit air yang diselamatkan sebesar 31.656 m3/tahun. Sedangkan strategi alternatif kedua menurunkan kehilangan air fisik sebesar 4,38% menjadi 20,31% dengan debit air yang diselamatkan sebesar 40.656 m3/tahun. Strategi alternatif pertama dipilih karena layak untuk dilaksanakan dengan nilai NPV sebesar Rp 104.054.792, nilai BCR sebesar 1,36, dan nilai PP selama 5 tahun 7 bulan.

Physical water losses of Jalur Baru water distribution network of Kedung Halang branch was 24.69% (19,114 m3/month) more than the physical water losses standard (5%). Physical water losses was caused by leakage in the water distribution network that caused quantity losses, continuity, financial, and reduced flow pressure. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the appropriate strategy for reducing physical water losses.
This study was conducted by analyzing the effects of physical water losses on the water supply system, evaluation of the District Meter Areas (DMAs) based on design standards, and hydraulic analysis of the distribution network using Epanet. By reducing the leakage in the distribution network through controlling the flow pressure using the Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs), a strategy was set according to the conditions of the research location. Investment analysis was conducted by using Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), and Payback Period (PP) methods.
Based on the results of the analysis, physical water losses in Jalur Baru caused revenue water losses of 15,241 m3/month, customers losses of 805 house connections, financial losses of Rp 135,904,393/month, and increased production costs of Rp 100,148,903/month. The existing DMAs had met the design criteria. The first alternative strategy was to control the flow pressure by using eight PRVs with one adjustable setting point. The second alternative strategy was to use eight PRVs with two adjustable setting points. The first alternative strategy could reduce the physical water losses by 3.41% so that it would be reduced to 21.28% by saving water of 31,656 m3/year. Meanwhile, the second alternative strategy could reduce physical water losses by 4.88%. Hence, it would be reduced to 20.31% by saving water of 40,656 m3/year. The first alternative strategy was chosen because it was financially profitable with NPV Rp 104,054,792, BCR value of 1,36, and 5 years 7 months of PP.
