Abstract

Kerja praktek merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib yang harus ditempuh oleh setiap mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan perkuliahannya pada Departemen Teknik Sipil ITS Surabaya. Mahasiswa yang mengikuti kerja praktek ini, diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan tentang dunia kerja dalam bidang ketekniksipilan sekaligus kelak dapat mengaplikasikannya dalam bentuk nyata di lapangan. Mahasiswa dapat mengetahui penerapan teori-teori yang telah diperoleh di bangku perkuliahan dengan cara melihat dan terlibat secara langsung dalam pelaksanaan pekerjaan di bidang ketekniksipilan di lapangan. Mahasiswa diberikan kebebasan dalam memilih proyek untuk kegiatan kerja praktik. Dengan pelaksanaan kerja praktik ini diharapkan mahasiswa memperoleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman dari lapangan yang dapat digunakan sebagai bekal dalam persiapan tahap dunia kerja. Agar harapan tersebut dapat tercapai, maka kami memilih tempat kerja praktek kami di proyek Jalan Tol Semarang-Demak yang dilaksanakan oleh PT. PP (Persero) Tbk. karena terdapat berbagai proses yang menarik untuk dikaji, karena proyek ini termasuk proyek besar yang menjadi koridor trans Jawa bagian pantura sehingga pembangunannya kompleks dan ruang lingkup yang ditawarkan cukup lengkap. Kerja praktik dilaksanakan selama 8 minggu. Dimana kerja praktek tersebut diharapkan mampu memberikan ilmu yang bermanfaat bagi para mahasiswa. Sehingga mahasiswa mampu memiliki ilmu dalam bidang teori dan pengalaman sebagai daya saing dalam karir nantinya. ================================================================================================ Practical work is one of the mandatory courses that must be carried out by every student to complete their studies at the Civil Engineering Department ITS Surabaya. Students who take part in this work practice are expected to be able to add insight into the world of work in the field of civil engineering and at the same time be able to apply it in real terms in the field. Students can find out the application of theories that have been obtained in the field by observing and being directly involved in the implementation of work in the civil engineering field in the field. Students are given the freedom to choose projects for work activities. With the implementation of this practical work, students are expected to gain knowledge and experience from the field that can be used as a provision in preparation for the world of work stage. In order to achieve this expectation, we have chosen our place of practice on the Semarang-Demak Toll Road project implemented by PT. PP (Persero) Tbk. because there are various interesting processes to study, because these projects include large projects that are part of the northern part of the Trans Java corridor so that the construction is complex and the scope offered is quite complete. Practical work is carried out for 8 weeks. Where practical work is expected to provide useful knowledge for students. So that students are able to have knowledge in the field of theory and experience as competitiveness in their future careers.
