Abstract

Pada saat ini kehidupan manusia memang tidak lepas dari sampah. Sampah-sampah ini berasal dari berbagai sumber, seperti daun-daun kering, bungkus-bungkus makanan atau minuman, sampah plastik hingga sampah bekas sayuran pada rumah tangga. Masalah sampah sering menjadi bahan perbincangan di berbagai kalangan, namun sampai saat ini belum ada langkah kongkrit yang bisa diambil. Maka dari itu,penulis berinisiatif dengan membuat mesin pencacah sampah organik.proses pembuatan mesin pencacah sampah organik perlu memperhatikan struktur rangka mesin tersebut, karena rangka merupakan tempat menempelnya komponen komponen mesin lainnya. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisa terhadap rangka yang dikenai pembebanan dapat dikatakan aman atau tidak. Rangka mesin pencacah sampah ini kemudian diuji melalui pengujian teoritis maupun dengan menggunakan software Solidwork 2017.Setelah dilakukan simulasi, rangka mesin pencacah sampah organik ini masih dalam keadaan aman. Terlihat dari tegangan maksimum terbesar rangka baik dari hitungan teoritis maupun simulasi numerik Solidwork yang masih dibawah nilai yield strength dan nilai tegangan ijin. Selain itu, selisih tegangan terbesar antara perhitungan teoritis ataupun simulasi kurang dari 2%.

At this time, human life cannot be separated from garbage. This waste comes from various sources, such as dry leaves, food or drink wrappers, plastic waste to vegetable waste in the household. The waste problem is often the subject of discussion in various circles, but so far no concrete steps have been taken. Therefore, the author took the initiative to make an organic waste chopper machine. The process of making an organic waste chopper machine needs to pay attention to the structure of the machine frame, because the frame is a place where other machine components are attached. In this final project, an analysis of the frame that is subjected to loading can be said to be safe or not. The frame of this garbage chopper was then tested through theoretical testing or by using Solidwork 2017 software. After the simulation was carried out, the frame of this organic waste chopper was still in a safe condition. It can be seen from the maximum stress of the frame both from theoretical calculations and solidwork numerical simulations which are still below the yield strength and allowable stress values. In addition, the largest voltage difference between theoretical calculations or simulations is less than 2%.
