Abstract

Petani garam di Madura khususnya di daerah Sumenep dan Pamekasan dapat menghasilkan garam sebanyak 123 Ton hingga 236 Ton setiap tahunnya. Selain dapat mencukupi kebutuhan garam untuk masyarakat sekitar, hasil produksi garam juga dijual kepada pemerintah Indonesia. Proses produksi di PT. Garam (Persero) dilakukan dengan cara pengolahan bertingkat dimana proses penguapan air laut dilakukan di area evaporator dan proses pengkristalan dilakukan di area kristalisasi sehingga diperoleh garam dengan kualitas yang baik. Awalnya garam dalam Hoper dimasukan ke dalam Crusher I untuk dihancurkan tahap pertama kemudian dicuci dalam washer dan kemudian dihancurkan tahap kedua di crusher II tetapi dalam penghancuran tahap kedua ini garam juga dicampur dengan Iodium sesuai dengan standar yang diberikan laboraturium di PT. Garam( Persero). Proses selanjutnya adalah pengeringan pada Dryer dan disimpan pada silo dan akhirnya siap di packing. Proses penggilingan garam pada Mesin crusher II sering terjadi penumpukan garam pada dinding Chute (saluran) bagian bawah crusher. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut dibuat alat pembersih garam menggunakan metode air sweep untuk membantu proses produksi di PT. Garam (persero) Sampang Madura. Alat bekerja dengan udara bertekanan untuk merontokan garam yang ada pada dinding di chute mesin crusher II PT. Garam sampang madura. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan tekanan udara untuk sistem udara bertekanan adalah 8 Bar, Total panjang instalasi perpipaan adalah 3,45 meter dengan total kapasitas udara yang dibutuhkan 0.176 m^3/dt.sizing air receiver 11.4 m3, menggunakan Kompresor reciprocating dan dapat direalisasikan di PT. Garam (persero) sampang madura. ===================================================================================================== Salt farmers in Madura, especially in sumenep and pamekasan, can produce salt as much as 123 tons to 236 tons every year. In addition to meeting the needs of salt for the surrounding community, salt production is also sold to the Indonesian government. The production process at PT. Garam (persero) is done by means of multilevel processing where the process of evaporation of seawater is carried out in the evaporator area and the crystallization process is carried out in the crystallization area so that salt is obtained with good quality. Initially the salt in Hoper is inserted into Crusher I to be crushed the first stage is then washed in washer and then crushed the second stage in crusher II but in the destruction of this second stage the salt is also mixed with Iodine in accordance with the standards given laboraturium in PT. Based on these problems, salt cleaning tools are made using the water sweep method to help the productin process in PT. Garam (persero) Sampang Madura. The tool works with pressurized air to tot the salt present on the wall in the chute crusher machine II PT. Salt looks madura. From the results of the study obtained air pressure for pressurized air systems is 8 Bar, the total length of piping installation is 3.45 meters with the total air capacity needed 0.176 m^3/dt.
