Abstract

Kegiatan ngopi menjadi budaya tersendiri bagi masyarakat penikmat kopi. Selain sebagai jembatan untuk bersosialisasi, ngopi juga menjadi pendamping bekerja karena khasiat kopi yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan mencegah kantuk. Adanya perkembangan teknologi, khususnya di kota metropolitan Surabaya, menyebabkan pergeseran budaya ngopi akibat munculnya kebutuhan masyarakat untuk berekspresi di media sosial, yang mana hal ini menuntut kedai kopi untuk memiliki suasana yang nyaman dan estetik sehingga dapat menarik lebih banyak peminat. Di sisi lain, banyak para pekerja seperti pegawai kantor yang mengalami kebosanan kerja membutuhkan suasana nyaman kedai kopi beserta minuman kopinya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas. Karena peminat kopi semakin banyak, maka tingkat konsumsi kopi menjadi semakin tinggi dan diperlukan peningkatan produksi kopi untuk mengimbangi hal ini.
Metode concept-based design digunakan untuk mentranslasikan dan merespon permasalahan rancang dengan tepat. Pendekatan behaviorology akan menjawab permasalahan produktivitas dengan mensintesis perilaku pengguna ke dalam arsitektur. Selain itu, kedai kopi pada perancangan ini juga menjawab kebutuhan berekspresi dan peningkatan produksi kopi. Metode behavior mapping digunakan untuk merumuskan kriteria umum rancangan dari perilaku user yang kemudian akan disintesis menjadi konsep desain.
Objek rancangan yang dihasilkan adalah One-stop Coffee & Work Area yang merupakan mixed-use building bertema kopi, mencakup coffee shop-like co-working space, coffee shop and roastery, dan coffee training center. Objek rancang ini diharapkan dapat mewadahi aktivitas penikmat dan pelaku kopi dalam satu area yang terintegrasi serta merespon permasalahan akibat pergeseran budaya ngopi terkait produktivitas kerja, berekspresi di media sosial, dan peningkatan produksi kopi.

Drinking coffee become an intimate culture for coffee addict. Aside from being a bridge to socialize, coffee is taken as well as a work companion because its properties that can increace productiviy and prevent sleepiness. The development of technology, especially in metropolitan city of Surabaya, has caused a shifting of coffee culture due to the public's need for expression on social media, which requires coffee shops to have a comfortable and aesthetic atmosphere so that they can attract more interest. On the other hand, many workers such as office workers who experience work boredom need a comfortable atmosphere in coffee shop and its coffee drinks to increase productivity. Due to the increasing number of coffee enthusiasts, the level of coffee consumption is getting higher and it is necessary to increase coffee production to compensate this situation.
The concept-based design method is used to translate and respond to design problems appropriately. Behaviorology approach will answer the productivity problem by synthesizing user behavior into architectural aspects. In addition, the coffee shop in this design also answers the need for expression and increasing coffee production. Behavior mapping method is used to formulate general design criteria from user behavior which will then be synthesized into design concepts.
The design object is One-stop Coffee & Work Area which is a coffee-themed mixed-use building that includes a coffee shop-like co-working space, a coffee shop and roastery, and a coffee training center. The design object is expected to accommodate the activities of coffee connoisseurs and coffee doers in an integrated area and respond to problems due to the shifting of coffee culture which related to work productivity, self-expression on social media, and increased coffee production.
