Abstract

Luas wilayah Indonesia sekitar 1,9 juta km2 dengan luas laut 65% (sumber: Kementerian Dalam Negeri Republik Indonesia), menjadikan sektor kelautan Indonesia menjadi sektor yang sangat strategis dalam memajukan peradaban bangsa. Indonesia memiliki ambisi untuk menjadi Poros Maritim Dunia, oleh karena itu industri maritim di Indonesia merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk mencapai ambisi tersebut. Industri perkapalan dapat berkontribusi dalam mencapai ambisi bangsa Indonesia. Sebagai negara kepulauan, Indonesia membutuhkan roda transportasi agar pulau-pulau tersebut tetap terhubung satu sama lain. Kapal harus menjadi roda transportasi untuk menghubungkan pulau-pulau tersebut dan melindungi wilayah Indonesia dari ancaman luar. Oleh karena itu untuk mendukung transportasi kelautan dan bidang pertahanan kelautan maka dilakukan penelitian mengenai analisa performa engine KRI AJAK – 653 dengan tipe engine MTU 16V 956 TB92 dengan menggunakan metode variabel load. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengambil data yang ada di PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode variabel load, didapatkan hasil perhitungan unjuk kerja pada engine KRI AJAK – 653 yang mana melakukan pengujian variable load, untuk mengetahui nilai brake horsepower, torsi, pemakaian bahan bakar spesifik, dan efisiensi thermal, berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya semakin besar load (F), BHP/Pef (kW), Torsi (Nm), BSFC (kg/jam), dan ηth (%). Melalui hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya performa paling optimal dicapai pada rpm 1500. ====================================================================================================== The total area of ​​Indonesia is around 1.9 million km2 with a sea area of ​​65% (source: Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia), making the Indonesian marine sector a very strategic sector in advancing the nation's civilization. The shipping industry can contribute to achieving the ambitions of the Indonesian nation. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia needs transportation wheels so that the islands remain connected to each other. Ships must be a transportation wheel to connect these islands and protect Indonesian territory from outside threats. Therefore, to support marine transportation and the marine defense sector, a study was conducted on the analysis of the performance of the MTU KRI AJAK-653 engine with the engine using the variable load. This research was conducted by taking data from PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). From the results of research conducted using the variable load, the results of the calculation of performance on the KRI AJAK-653 engine were carried out which carried out variable load, to determine the value of brake horsepower, torque, specific fuel consumption, and thermal efficiency, based on the calculation results can concluded that the greater the load (F), BHP/Pef (kW), Torque (Nm), BSFC (kg/hour), and th (%). Through the results of these calculations, it can be concluded that the most optimal performance is achieved at 1500 rpm.
