Abstract

Setiap kegiatan usaha keberadaan persediaan menjadi sangat penting, seperti halnya
Material Distribusi Utama (MDU) sebagai penunjang produk jasa kelistrikan di
PLN Unit Distribusi guna memenuhi permintaan Pasang Baru (PB) dan Perubahan
Daya (PD). Permintaan PB dan PD khususnya tarif rumah tangga (R) yang masih
mendominasi merupakan potensi bagi perusahaan untuk dapat meningkatkan
pencapaian rasio elektrifikasi dan peningkatan pendapatan penjualan tenaga listrik.
Di tahun 2019, pencapaian service level permintaan PB dan PD tarif rumah tangga
(R) di UP3 Ponorogo belum dapat terlayani 100% dengan salah satu penyebabnya
adalah terjadinya stockout MDU. Dalam pengelolaan persediaan, perencanaan
kebutuhan yang tepat sangat diperlukan untuk menimimalisasi kelebihan dan/atau
kekurangan material. Kelebihan persediaan akan meningkatkan biaya penyimpanan
dan risiko kerusakan material. Sedangkan kekurangan material akan menghambat
proses bisnis perusahaan yang berdampak pada loss opportunity penjualan. Kurang
tepatnya perhitungan parameter persediaan MDU khususnya untuk PB dan PB tarif
rumah tangga (R) karena belum mempertimbangkan faktor ketidakpastiaan dalam
permintaan sehingga MDU sering terjadi stockout. Pengklasifikasian MDU
berdasarkan kebijakan persediaan perusahaan untuk menentukan kelas MDU
kemudian dilakukan peramalan jangka pendek kebutuhan MDU PB dan PD tarif
rumah tangga dengan menggunakan metode exponential smoothing. Parameter
persediaan diperhitungkan dengan menggunakan metode continous review (s,S)
dan periodic review (R,s,S) dibandingkan dengan kondisi eksisting perusahaan.
Dengan penerapan parameter kebijakan persediaan dengan metode continous
review (s,S) perusahaan dapat melakukan penghematan biaya persediaan sebesar
52,8% dari kondisi saat ini dan pencapaian service level sebesar 97% rata-rata per
bulan.

Every business activity in the existence of supplies is very important, such as the
Main Distribution Material (MDU) as a support for electrical service products at
PLN Distribution Unit in order to meet the demand for Pasang Baru (PB) and
Perubahan Daya (PD). The demand for PB and PD, especially for household tariff
(R), which still dominates, is a potential for companies to be able to increase
achievement of electrification ratio and increase sales. In 2019, service level
achievement for PB and PD household tariff (R) at UP3 Ponorogo has not been able
to be served 100% cause due to the MDU stockout. In inventory management,
proper planning of requirements is needed to minimize excess or shortage of
material. Excess inventory will increase storage costs and the risk of material
damage. Meanwhile, the material shortage will hamper the company's business
process which will result in a loss opportunity for sales. Inaccurate calculation of
MDU inventory parameters, especially for PB and PB household tariff (R) because
it has not considered the uncertainty factor in demand so that MDU often has
stockouts. MDU classification is based on the company's inventory policy to
determine the MDU class. Then, short-term forecasting of household tariff for
MDU PB and PD is carried out using the exponential smoothing method. Inventory
parameters are calculated using the continuous review (s,S) and periodic review
(R,s,S) methods compared to the company's existing conditions. By implementing
inventory policy parameters with the continuous review method (s, S), the company
can save an inventory cost of 52,8% from current conditions and achieve a service
level of 97% on average per month.
