Abstract

Salah satu jenis pembangkit yang banyak di gunakan
adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) yang bekerja
dengan siklus Rankine. Salah satu produsen listrik yang
menggunakan jenis pembangkit listrik tenaga uap adalah PT PJB
Unit Pembangkit Gresik Secara umum daya yang dihasilkan pada
unit pembangkit 3 PT PJB Gresik rata-rata sebesar 200 MW.
Daya tersebut dihasilkan melalui tiga turbin yang dipasang satu
poros, yaitu yang terdiri dari HP (High Pressure), IP
(Intermediate Pressure),dan LP (Low Pressure). Pada unit
pembangkit tiga tersebut digunakan 2 jenis sistem feedwater
heater yaitu dengan susunan 7 closed feedwater heater dan 1
open feedwater heater. High pressure heater (HPH) berfungsi
untuk meningkatkan temperatur air yang akan dipanaskan di
dalam boiler sehingga energi yang dibutuhkan oleh boiler lebih
sedikit dibandingkan tanpa HPH. Kondisi HPH sering
menghadapi masalah sehingga harus tidak dioperasikan karena
mengalami perbaikan. Dalam hal ini diperlukan studi lebih lanjut
untuk mengetahui pengaruh operasi HPH terhadap performa
pembangkit.
Penelitian mengenai pengaruh operasi high pressure
heater terhadap performa pembangkit ini dilakukan dengan
perhitungan melalui software cycle-tempo. Perhitungan software
cycle-tempo dilakukan dengan menggunakan data heat balance
dari pembangkit. Pemodelan pembangkit dilakukan didalam
software cycle-tempo sehingga dapat dilakukan enam kondisi

variasi terhadap operasi HPH. Variasi 1 kondisi HPH 3 mati,
variasi 2 kondisi HPH 2 mati, variasi 3 kondisi HPH 1 mati,
variasi 4 kondisi HPH 2 dan 3 mati, variasi 5 kondisi HPH 1 dan
3 mati, variasi 6 kondisi HPH 1 dan 2 mati.
Hasil penelitian yang telah didapatkan oleh software
cycle-tempo untuk kondisi eksisting adalah daya sebesar 198.879
MW dan efisiensi sebesar 43.541 %. Penelitian ini
membandingkan bahwa kondisi pada software cycle-tempo
dengan kondisi aktual berbeda dimana daya pada kondisi aktual
sebesar 200 MW dan efisiensi sebesar 45.38 % menjelaskan
bahwa prosentase losses pada daya sebesar 0.56%. Kondisi
eksisting dalam software cycle-tempo ini mempunyai efisiensi
tertinggi diantara kondisi variasi yang lain. Hasil dari kondisi
variasi yang telah dilakukan melalui software cycle-tempo
mendapatkan hasil paling optimal pada kondisi variasi ke tiga
dengan daya sebesar 214.517 MW dan efisiensi sebesar 43.457
%.

One type of power plant who usually used is the steam
power plant (power plant) which works with the Rankine cycle.
One of electricity producers that use this type of power plant
steam generator unit is PT PJB Gresik. In general, the power
generated in the generator unit 3 PT PJB Gresik average of 200
MW. The power generated by three turbines installed in one
shaft, which is consists of HP (High Pressure), IP (Intermediate
Pressure) and LP (Low Pressure). In the three generating units
are used two types of feedwater heater system is by arrangement
7 closed feedwater heater and one open feedwater heater. High
pressure heater (HPH) is used to raise the temperature of the
water who will be heated in the boiler so that the energy required
by the boiler less than without HPH. Condition of HPH often face
a problem that should not be operated because of a maintenance.
In this case is required further study to determine the effect of
HPH operations on plant performance.
Research on the effect of high pressure heater
operation of the plant performance is done through calculation by
software cycle-tempo. Calculations of cycle-tempo is conducted
by using data of heat balance of the plant. Plant modeling done in
the cycle-tempo so that can be done by six variations of the
operating conditions of HPH. Variation number 1 HPH 3 in off

conditions, variation number 2 HPH 2 in off condition, variation
number 3 HPH 1 in off condition, variation number 4 HPH 2
and 3 in off conditions, variation number 5 HPH 1 and 3 in off
conditions, variation number 6 HPH 1 and 2in off conditions.
Results of research that have been running by the
cycle-tempo in existing condition is a power of 198.879 MW and
an efficiency of 43.541 %. This study compares that conditions in
the cycle-tempo with actual conditions differ on the actual
conditions in which the power of 200 MW and an efficiency of
45.38% who explained that the percentage losses in the power of
0.56%. Existing condition in cycle-tempo software has a highest
efficiency among other conditions variation. Results of the
condition of variation that has been done through cycle-tempo to
get optimal results on the condition of variation number 3 with a
power of 214.517 MW and an efficiency of 43.457%.
