Abstract

kondisi fisiologis maupun psikologis manusia.
mikrovaskular dibawah kulit akibat perubahan volume darah.

Heart Rate (HR) is important information to know the physiological and psychological condition of human. The pulse rate is directly related to heart rate for the pulse of the impact of changes in the volume of blood in the veins caused by the activity of the heart that pumps blood throughout the body periodically. The ratio of the heart rate will change depending on the physiological and psychological conditions that affect. Heart rate measurement in the medical world in general use ECG (Electrocardiogram) or Blood Pressure Measurement. This study examines the possibility to know the ratio of the heart rate using a technique Photoplethysmography (PPG) through the smartphone's camera. PPG signal obtained from the color changes in microvascular tissue under the skin due to changes in blood volume. The camera used in the trial was the main camera on the smartphone Samsung J1. Measurements were made by attaching a finger at the camera with a finger portion of the smartphone camera flash LED which lights up. Along with the video recording on smartphones, on the subject of heart rate measurement is also done using medical devices available. The results of measurements using a medical instrument used as reference data. Detection pulse on PPG signal is extracted from the video smartphone conducted using Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). The results of calculations on the signal pulse PPG compared with reference data to find the correlation coefficient. The results showed that the PPG signal which is a representation of the activities of the human pulse can be detected in the recorded video using the main camera smartphone. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient is quite high (0.9) between the data HR measured based PPG signals detected at the video with the data HR reference.
