Abstract

Perubahan laju aliran uap menimbulkan gangguan pada sistem pengaturan level air steam drum. Level air dijaga pada titik tengah ketinggian drum atau disebut Normally Water Level (NWL) agar uap yang dihasilkan sesuai spesifikasi serta tidak merusak peralatan. Pada umumnya, sistem pengaturan level menggunakan kontroler PID konvensional. Namun, adanya gangguan menyebabkan performa sistem dengan kontroler PID konvensional tidak mampu memenuhi spesifikasi. Kontroler PID-Genetic Algorithm (PID-GA) diterapkan untuk mengatur level air steam drum agar berada pada titik NWL ketika terdapat gangguan. Sistem pengaturan menggunakan kontroler PID-GA mampu meredam gangguan berupa beban minimal, nominal, dan maksimal, yaitu dengan perturbation peak masing-masing 0,18 m; 0,22 m; dan 0,26 m.

Changes in steam flow rate causing harm to steam drum water level control system. The water level is maintained at the midpoint of the height of the drum or referred Normally Water Level (NWL) so that the steam produced according to specifications and does not damage the equipments. In general, level control using the conventional PID controller. However, the disturbances caused by the system performance of conventional PID controller is not able to meet the specifications. PID- Genetic Algorithm controller (PID-GA) was applied to adjust the steam drum water level in order to be at a point when there is a perturbation NWL. System settings using the PID controller-GA is able to reduce disturbance of the minimum, nominal, and maximum with perturbation peak each of them are 0.18 m, 0.22 m, and 0.26 m.
