Abstract

========================================================================================

There has been several failures in the LUSI embankment that causing the embankment to be collapse. The cause of this incidence might be because of the presence of water saturation through fractures and pores in the embankment. Therefore, seepage identification is a very important thing to do in order to estimate the seepage zones due to fractures and pores in the embankment. Geophysical method has an important role in mapping seepage paths and monitoring the embankment. Self Potential and resistivity method are non-destructive technique that can be used in embankment monitoring. The data are obtained then processed in order to identify the seepage in the LUSI emabankment. The result of this research shows that there are several possible fractures as the cause of seepage in the LUSI emabakment at estimated depth of 5m-50m.
