Abstract

Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) is a geo-political organization and economy of the countries in Southeast Asia. ASEAN's economic growth has a major contribution in the world economy. ASEAN consists of some developed countries and developing countries. Cooperation in the economic field one of which is the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). AEC is currently underway, in which international trade between ASEAN countries took place freely, it is expected the formation of economic integration that will lead ASEAN into high growth areas at
once stable. The economic growth rate can be measured using Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached a country. The economic growth of a country is influenced by the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Inter-relationship between economic growth and investment influence each other. This complex study using spatial model of simultaneous equations with Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) so that not only
the relationship between the variables depicted in simultaneous equations, but there is also a spatial effects of these variables describe the pattern of interaction between the member countries of ASEAN. These results indicate that the model of economic growth with SAR simultaneous equations using the GMM with customized weights
better because it can capture the reciprocal effect between the Gross Domestic Product(GDP) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Other than that linkages between locations (spatial dependencies are positive and significant lag in variable Gross Domestic Product).
