Abstract

Kebutuhan energi listrik semakin mengalami peningkatan
=================================================================
Electrical energy needs increasingly increased in line with
developments in the technology, industrial and information society.
Steam power plant is a type of plant that is often used to meet electricity
needs in Indonesia. Indonesia Power UBP SURALAYA is one of the
steam power plant with a generating capacity of about 410 MW sub-
critical state with coal fuel. Performance steam power plant has
undergone many evaluations. One way is to design the steam power
plant into a supercritical condition of sub-critical condition.
Research done by making the modeling power plant under
normal operating conditions using the software gate cycle. Modeling
power plant is done so that we can know the efficiency supercritical
thermal and power as well as varying the pressure in the boiler and
reheater pressure to obtain the optimum value. While the manual
calculations using thermodynamic analysis. The calculation will be done
is to find the entrance to the heat and reheat boiler components
(ΣQinlet), work produced by each turbine (ΣWt), work required to drain
the fluid pump (ΣWp), as well as the efficiency of thermal power plant
system

.
Results gate cycle modeling, the power plant sub-critical
condition is at 170 Bar pressure boiler with a boiler outlet temperature
of 538 ° C and a pressure of 39.7 bar reheater obtained power generation
system of 410 MW, an efficiency of 40% and a heat rate of 9018.27 kJ
/kW-h.Seteleah converted to supercritical conditions by changing the
pressure of 250 bar and a temperature of 560 ° C in the boiler by varying
the pressure on reheater is 40 bar, 50 bar 60 bar. Contained in the
optimum power plant with supercritical conditions reheater 40 Bar
pressure variation in the amount of 423.086 MW. The optimum
efficiency of the power plant are in supercritical conditions with reheater
60 Bar pressure variation in the amount of 42.74%. The smallest rate of heat contained in the steam power plant with supercritical conditions
reheater 60 Bar pressure variation in the amount of 8389.31 kJ / kW-h.
So by changing the plant from becoming subcritical supercritical
conditions will improve efficiency and power as well as lower heat rate
