Abstract

Pabrik Gula (PG) Gempolkrep adalah salah satu Pabrik
Gula di lingkungan PT PERKEBUNAN X (PERSERO) yang
menghasilkan Gula Kristal Putih (GKP). Pabrik gula ini
didirikan pada tahun 1849. Saat ini kapasitas giling PG
Gempolkrep telah mencapai 6000 Ton Tebu per hari dan
menghasilkan kurang lebih 480 Ton gula setiap hari. Hal ini
mengakibatkan meningkatnya kebutuhan listrik dalam proses
produksi. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik PG Gempolkrep
disuplai oleh pembangkit daya di dalam pabrik dengan kapasitas
maksimum 9 MW.
Dengan adanya rencana untuk melakukan ekspor listrik,
maka untuk saat ini perlu diketahui kondisi eksisting
Cogeneration Plant di Pabrik Gula Gempolkrep. Parameter kerja
yang dihitung adalah ketersediaan bagasse, efisiensi
cogeneration, efisiensi siklus, efisiensi boiler, dan heat rate.
Dari penelitian ini akan didapatkan hasil perhitungan
kondisi eksisting Cogeneration, yaitu ketersediaan bagasse yang
hanya tersisa 27304,74 Ton dalam 5 bulan, efisiensi cogeneration
sebesar 77,6 %, efisiensi siklus sebesar 5,78 %, heat rate sebesar
88179,93 kJ/kWh dan efisiensi boiler sebesar 70 %. Kemudian
pada siklus Cogeneration Regeneratif variasi 40 bar didapatkan
hasil daya turbin utama sebesar 8205,92 kW, efisiensi
cogeneration sebesar 80,68 %, efisiensi siklus sebesar 12,83 %,
heat rate sebesar 31184,17 kJ/kWh, serta lama operasi 8,59
bulan. Pada variasi 50 bar didapatkan hasil daya turbin utama
sebesar 11849,96 kW, efisiensi cogeneration sebesar 8151 %,

efisiensi siklus sebesar 15,47 %, heat rate sebesar 25860,97
kJ/kWh, serta lama operasi 8,33 bulan. Pada variasi 60 bar
didapatkan hasil daya turbin utama sebesar 13045,97 kW,
efisiensi cogeneration sebesar 81,65 %, efisiensi siklus sebesar
16,48 %, heat rate sebesar 24272,78 kJ/kWh, efisiensi boiler,
serta lama operasi 8,27 bulan. Pada variasi 70 bar didapatkan
hasil daya turbin utama sebesar 14762,99 kW, efisiensi
cogeneration sebesar 81,96 %, efisiensi siklus sebesar 17,75 %,
heat rate sebesar 22534,96 kJ/kWh, serta lama operasi 8,16
bulan. Pada variasi 80 bar didapatkan hasil daya turbin utama
sebesar 16331,53 kW, efisiensi cogeneration sebesar 82 %,
efisiensi siklus sebesar 18,95 %, heat rate sebesar 21108,26
kJ/kWh, serta lama operasi 7,99 bulan.

Sugar factory of Gempolkrep was one of sugar factory in
PT PERKEBUNAN X that producing white crystal sugar. This
factory was built in 1849. Currently, the milling capacity was 600
ton cane per day and produced about 480 ton sugar per day. It
caused incresing the needed of electricity for production. As for
that, there are power generation sistem inside the factory with
maximum power 9 MW.
There was a plan that in the future, sugar factory will
export the electricity outside. So as for that, for now it necessary
to know the exsisting condition of the factory. The works
parameters that will calculate were availbility of bagasse,
cogeneration efficiency, cycle efficiency, boiler efficiency, and
heat rate.
The outcome from this research were the calculate for
availbility bagasse wasonly remain 27304,74 ton in 5 months.
Cogeneration efficiency was 77,6 %. Cycle efficiency was 5,78 %,
heat rate was 88179,93 kJ/kWh and Boiler efficiency was 70 %.
And for Cogeneration Regenerative cycle for variation 40 bar can
be obtained power of main turbine was 8205,92 kW, cogeneration
efficiency was 80,68 %, cycle efficiency was 12,83 %, heat rate
was 31184,17 kJ/kWh, and operational duration was 8,59
months. For variation 50 bar can be obtained power of main
turbine was 11849,96 kW, cogeneration efficiency was 81,51 %,
cycle efficiency was 15,47 %, heat rate was 25860,97 kJ/kWh,
and operational duration was 8,33 months. For variation 50 bar

cogeneration efficiency was 81,65 %, cycle efficiency was 16,48
%, heat rate was 24272,78 kJ/kWh, and operational duration was
8,27 months. For variation 70 bar can be obtained power of main
turbine was 14762,99 kW, cogeneration efficiency was 81,96 %,
cycle efficiency was 17,75 %, heat rate was 22534,96 kJ/kWh,
and operational duration was 8,16 months. For variation 80 bar
can be obtained power of main turbine was 16331,53 kW,
cogeneration efficiency was 82 %, cycle efficiency was 18,95 %,
heat rate was 21108,26 kJ/kWh, and operational duration was
7,99 months.
