Abstract

SBMPTN merupakan pola seleksi yang dilaksanakan secara serentak oleh seluruh Perguruan Tinggi Negeri melalui ujian tertulis. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya merupakan perguruan tinggi yang menerima mahasiswa baru dengan jalur SBMPTN. Dari banyaknya peminat, ada beberapa yang dinyatakan diterima dan sisanya dinyatakan tidak diterima. Oleh karena itu, ingin diketahui karakteristik serta pemodelan menggunakan metode regresi logistik biner dengan variabel respon adalah status penerimaan dimana bernilai satu yaitu diterima dan bernilai nol apabila gagal diterima. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa jumlah peminat yang dinyatakan diterima adalah sebesar 1.150 peserta, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 13.013 peserta dinyatakan tidak diterima. Pada pemodelan regresi logistik biner diperoleh variabel yang berpengaruh yaitu domisili, nilai verbal, nilai numerikal, nilai figural, nilai matematika dasar, nilai bahasa Indonesia, nilai bahasa Inggris, nilai matematika IPA, nilai fisika, nilai kimia dan nilai biologi.

SBMPTN a pattern of selection implemented simul-taneously by all Universities through a written exam. Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya is a college that accepts new students with a pathway SBMPTN. Of many enthusiasts, there are some who are accepted and the rest declared not acceptable. Therefore, we want to know the characteristics and modeling using binary logistic regression method with the response variable is the status of acceptance which is worth one that is accepted and received zero if unsuccessful. Based on the results of analysis show that the number of applicants who are accepted amounted to 1.150 participants, while the remaining 13.013 participants expressed are not accepted. In binary logistic regression modeling was obtained variables that affect the domicile, the value of verbal, numerical values, figural value, the value of basic mathematics, Indonesian values, the value of English, math science value, the value of physical, chemical and biological value value.
