Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilakukan studi mengenai pengaruh Repair Welding terhadap properties material GS-32. Variasi reparasi yang dilakukan pada material GS-32 dimulai dari tanpa repair, 1 kali repair, 2 kali repair dan 3 kali repair. Pengelasan dan repair dilakukan menggunakan alat pengelasan GMAW dengan parameter las arus 300-350A dan tegangan 30-36V. Pada specimen 1 dilakukan proses pengelasan 1 kali, kemudian specimen 2 dilakukan pengelasan 2 kali dan gouging 1 kali dan specimen 3 dilakukan 3 kali pengelasan dan 2 kali gouging kemudian specimen diuji menggunakan Mikroskop Optik, Alat uji kekerasan Vickers, dan alat uji tarik. Pada hasil pengamatan struktur makro, specimen dengan perlakuan welding repair mengalami perluasan area HAZ. Spesimen 3 memiliki lebar HAZ yang sangat besar dibandingkan specimen 2 dan specimen 1. Didapatkan hasil kekerasan untuk specimen dengan perlakuan repair mengalami peningkatan nilai kekerasan paling banyak pada bagian HAZ. Specimen memiliki nilai kekerasan yang tingi dibandingkan specimen 2 dan specimen 1. Nilai kekerasan rata-rata specimen 1,2 dan 3 berturut-turut 291 HV, 332,9 HV dan 333,8 HV.

The research was conducted to study about the influence of welding repair due to material properties of GS-32 product. Repair variation of the GS-32 material started from no repair condition, one repair condition, and two repair condition. Welding and gouging was using GMAW welding machine with weld parameter of current by 300-350A and voltage by 30-35V. The condition of specimen 1 is no repair, specimen 2 is repaired one times, and specimen 3 is repaired two times. After that the material testing that used are micro and macro structure using optical microscope, Vickers hardness, and tensile machine. Observation result of macro structure, the specimen with repair weld condition has the wider HAZ area than no repair. Specimen 3 has the widest HAZ after specimen 2 and specimen 1. The result of the hardness test, the specimen with repair weld condition has the higher hardness number than no repair. Specimen 3 has the higher hardness number with average 333,8 HV, specimen 2 with hardness number 332,9 HV and specimen 1 is the lowest hardness number with 291 HV
