Abstract

Tumbuh kembang anak memiliki beberapa fase dimana setiap tahapan memiliki cirinya tersendiri yang dapat mempengaruhi kondisi fisik dan psikis anak di masa depan. Terdapat 2 fase penting yakni fase anak (umur 1 – 3tahun) dan fase bermain (umur 3 – 6 tahun) atau biasa disebut play age. Pada fase tersebut diperlukan pembelajaran untuk menunjang kecerdasan anak salah satunya melalui stimulus gerakan motorik. “Gerakan motorik berpengaruh pada tingkat intelejensi anak.” Anak yang gerak saraf motoriknya optimal, perkembangan saraf otaknya juga maksimal. (Psikologi Anak dan Pendidikan). Pembelajaran tersebut dapat ditunjang melalui sarana bermain. Berbagai permainan motorik baik halus dan kasar sudah banyak ditawarkan. Salah satu permainan motorik yang banyak ditemui adalah ride on toys, yakni mainan yang dapat diduduki dan dikendarai. Mainan tersebut penting diberikan sebab dapat menjadi stimulus dalam membentuk postur tubuh yang baik dan cara berjalan yang benar . Saat ini sudah banyak dijual berbagai macam ride on toy, namun di Indonesia dihiasi oleh produk impor plastik yang menurut penelitian hampir seluruh mainan mengandung unsur zat kimia seperti Timbal (Pb), Merkuri (Hg), Krom (Cr), dan Kadmium (Cd). Hal ini tentu sangat memprihatinkan karena dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan dalam jangka panjang. Sementara itu produk ride on toys lokal yang ada sekarang berupa rocking horse kayu yang kurang bersaing sehingga kurang diminati. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut pemberdayaan produksi kayu lokal harusnya dapat ditingkatkan salah satunya melalui inovasi desain ride on toys yang dapat bertransformasi multifungsi menjadi beberapa bentuk seperti push walker, balance bike, scooter dan lain sebagainya sesuai tahapan usia tumbuh kembang anak. Pilihan bentuk transformasi didapat melalui metode shadowing agar sesuai kebutuhan anak dan untuk menemukan visual bentuk yang sesuai minat dilakukan observasi langsung pada anak dan deep interview pada orang tua. Hasil desain dievaluasi lebih lanjut melalui analisa usability testing. Melalui desain ride on toys ini diharapkan dapat membentuk postur dan cara berjalan yang baik, juga inovasi transformable multifungsi dapat menunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak dari usia 2 – 4 tahun dan memberikan added value pada industri kayu lokal agar bersaing di kelas ekspor.

Growing children steps have several phases where each stage has its own characteristics that can affect the physical and psychological conditions of children in the future. There are 2 important phases, they are child phase (age 1-3 years) and the play phase (age 3-6 years) or so-called play age. In that phase is needed learning to support child intelligence which one of them through motor movement stimulus. "Motor movements affect the level of intelligence of children." Children with optimal motor nerves, the development of brain nerves is also maximal. (Child Psychology and Education). Such learning can be supported by playing media. Various soft and fine motor games have been offered. One of the many motor games encountered is ride on toys, which is a toy that can be occupied and ridden. Toys are important given because it can be a stimulus in forming a good posture and the right way to walk. Nowadays there are many kinds of ride on toys have been sold, but in Indonesia it was dominated by imported plastic products which, according to research almost all toys contain elements of chemicals such as Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Krom (Cr ), And Cadmium (Cd). This is certainly very alarming because it can affect health in the long term. Meanwhile, local ride on toys products that are now in the form of wood rocking horse that is less competitive so less desirable. Based on the phenomenon, the empowerment of local wood production should be improved through the innovation of ride on toys design that can be transformed multifunction into several forms such as push walker, balance bike, scooter and others according to the age stage of child development. The choice of transformation form is obtained through shadowing method to fit the needs of the child and to find the appropriate visual form of interest, direct observation on the child and deep interview on the parents must be done. The design results are further evaluated through usability testing analysis. Through the design of ride on toys is expected to form a good posture and walk, as well as multifunctional transformable innovation can support the growth and development of children from the age of 2-4 years and provide added value to the local wood industry to compete in the export class.
